You're saying that the grades you got in high school make a difference to how much money you make in the future? Sure, maybe if you're the valedictorian or in the top 1% of your class..but after that they make very little different, in my experience.
Nope, that's broadcast information, you can copy that and be fine. You still cannot legally copy a dvd to a dvr, nor can you legally copy a VHS tape to another VHS tape (unless the content you're copying has been broadcast).
As for music, you can record the radio all day if you want and play that back, that's never been in question. What has been in question is the stuff that's not ever on the radio suddenly appearing on everyone's computer and being distributed via a p2p network.
I have a friend who is a teacher. He has had students put libelous things about him on their myspace pages. He did not pursue further punishment even after he found the pages by himself.
Now I see why. If he had complained and the kids had gotten in trouble, then he would have been sued. What a fantastic system to work in! Thank god these people who are walking on a fine line between teaching responsibility and getting sued to hell and back are in charge of (largely) raising our children from the ages of 6-18!
On a side note, the principal did take it to another level by cancelling the computer classes, but in that case that's what the school board is for...not the district court.

At my company we have many IT managers that aren't technically saavy. They may be able to speak the buzzwords and whatnot, but they can't sit down and write code if pressed to do so. And you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way. I'd rather not have a boss question me on why I wrote this function this way when the damn thing works. I'd also rather have a boss that is fantastic at dealing with people and at least acts like he actually cares about me as a person, and not just a resource.
If I have a coding question, we have technical leads. If I have a question about what I should do because my cube-mate keeps undressing me with her eyes, I have my manager. Two different roles, two different people. Works great.
That doesn't mean we don't have managers who can't be technical leads, but the technical leads don't always have management skills.
MTTF is not MTBF. In the world of metrics, they're different. While they both measure failures, time to fail and time between failures are different measurements for a reason, they tell us different things about the product we're testing.

In the case of a changeset-oriented system, on the other hand, the appropriate version of both files is just another element of the repository state -- so instead of a set of individual file states, you just have one big repository state that holds everything together.

While I respect your relatively low user id #, your views are somewhat mislead. Understand that here in America (don't know if you're american or not) we have a rule by majority. Concentrate on that word..majority. It takes a larger group of people to get hurt or angry before something will be done about what is hurting them. Until now the RIAA had both the loudest and the most numerous voice, thankfully the right number of people have spoken up for some action to finally be taken.
I will conceed that some corruption happens on the hill on a daily basis, it's gonna happen because some people feed on that. However, I will not conceed the point of view that all people who make a living running this country are corrupt. They do what is either in the best interest of their constituants, or they listen to those people when they change their minds (as a majority). He still needs to get votes to keep his job.
On a side note, yes attorneys have a large voice in DC, but that's because they hire a ton of folks to do lobbying for them. It's not what you say, it's how many voices you say it with.
We've got a couple SGI 320's here and I got win2k to work fine on them. Look on Sgi's website, I believe they have some valuable patches for the BIOS and whatnot (just search for 320).
