Can FAQs Be Copyrighted?

Sure a FAQ can be copyrighted, its contents that is. If you build a FAQ with answers from copyright material, like citations from books, blueprints of a car, tc. this wil be copyrighted.
Even the FAQ presentation can be protected, as intelectual creation.
I'm usung GPG with evolution for sometume now and it is great. I just forgot about it. It works great. I would like to know how to use it with mozilla, though.
could it be cheaper if wasn't built on XP? Could they saved a lot of programmers time and money if produced it with LINUX or other free/open software? Is there a reson for this to be sold with proprietary software? I really liked the think, very similar to a notepad, but xp on that? why?
Last night I saw a movie when a comet shower was the most important thing in a family life. The simple fact that you are with your love ones or friends on the outside looking to the stars and seeing that great show is great.
The feling that you are a tiny point in the universe is most significantly achieved if you are at night looking to the sky.
Maybe now HP will get back his scientific calculators, one of the few $$$ divisions. But I believe that the corporate ulture of this mergewill be the most big issue. Probably in a few months they will be back again as 2 differents corporations again. But then DELL or SUN or whatever will take the place of most knonwn brand.
A Open Source Project Quality depends only on yours skills as a programmer. If you feel thar the program isn't as good as it should you are free to improve it to feel your needs. That the strenght of it and should be more publicided.
To do a compilation of this sort will give the wrong impression. The idea that a open source application is a static thing that people should accept.
I believe that can only be a manouver from an inexperience fellow at Microsoft who is following general guidelines. Those guideliness surely say to fight Linux but should say anything about bad pub. Everyone knows that beat in a lesser org is the worst pub you can have.
Sure, schools have to pay for their resources but they also are the best place for MS to educate and train future paying costumers and potential big corporate users. So I don't think the guy who tried to force the school district had good counsel.
GPL is better than EULAs in a crucial point: Infringment to this license is more difficult to be done unnotice than on EULAs. An infringment to GPL means, roughly, in selling/distributting bin without source code. When you don't respect a EULA it will mean that you do n copies of that, and that is less noticeble.
Your average PC user will probably spend more time surfing and on chat rooms than watching TV. And even that will be to see DVD movies about surfing the net.
Why do you consider Passport good and PGP not? The theory behind is the same, +/-, you can give false credentials to Verisign and to Passport but it will be very difficult to create a fake ring of trust for pgp. Not impossible just to difficult.

HP & COMPAQ in a few months? Probably in a failed relationship hoping t get the best from the greatest divorce in history.
AND there isn't a need for ICANN also. There are already other orgs. doing the same thing and better.
There is time to let go the 3 letters thing. There isn't any technical restrition to force this and every four/five/six letter word should be allowed.

LOL. We could go to the restaurant at the end of the universe and have a meal while the show was going.
That was a very small meteor hitting my head on the moment I wrote those lines. That was a meteor shower of course.
Oh no, another one.......

I'm a young developer with 10 years experience on programming with a MS on computer science. What can I do to live only from free programming?

For what I can see in every day life PGP is stron as ever, at least openpgp.

With GPS will be easy to track him down to some cheap Hotel.

How do you trust a pgp sig? You use a ring of trust! When you use a Verisign sig how do they certify that is really you? The same way
When you buy a MS OS you are forbidden to pass it to others.
So when you give away you PC away how do you transger the OS license?
It is a fair and honest way to authenticate yourself to anothers, using crypto sigs.
Sure, go to a Congress Commitee and say to them "don't use it, is flawed, full stop!". That should convince them.
Or send then an email using pgp technology. So they see another option.
They think of using MS "technology", not selling to MS the ID checking business. It's a very different thing.
What Human Rights Orgs. should do is to convinge the gov. that this "technology" is not really a good, reliable source.
