    It would be ridiculous.

Nobody asks permission to the RAE (Real Academia de la lengua Española) when translating anything into spanish.

This is just Aucan Huilcaman trying to get some undeserved atention.

Microsoft regularly gives computers (with Windows installed, what did you expect) to the Chilean government, particularly the education dept, for use in schools in all the country.

Also, software piracy is extremely high in Chile. MS knows this, and I doubt they expect to sell more than a couple of copies of Windows to the Mapuches.

So, in fact, MS is doing the right thing, and those assholes are just getting in the way of people trying to help them.

I hope the suit is quickly dropped. They can't own the language and decide who uses it and who doesn't. The only valid thing I see is that probably MS didn't consult them in some details like adding new words and expressions to Windows, but certainly a lawsuit isn't the way to do this.

Mmmm, Nintendo doesnt redesign their home consoles a lot. The NES saw a redesign years after the SNES was out. I don't think there was a significant SNES or N64 or Gamecube redesign, other than changing a bit the internal hardware for cheaper production. The external design was always the same.

Yeah, they redo their handhelds all the time. They have done so since the Gameboy.

That is just an opinion. I think that the original NES and the Gamecube have been the more stylish consoles Nintendo has done, and that the SNES (grey and purple! Argh! OMG, please look at the stylish Genesis that was the competition!) and the N64 had horrible design.

But that point is ocmpletely moot. The NES, SNES, N64 and Gamecube, all had great games, and that is all that really matters.

Watchmen is more about the presentation of the story than the story itself. About the structute of the narrative mirroring the plot mirroring the setting.

You have to look at the pretty pictures.

Look at the way Moore and Gibbons show one thing while talking about another in the captions. And at the same time foreshadowing another.

Or the precise timing that is created when Rorschach walks under a blinking neon light.

Or the comic within the comic. It is pretty hard to do the same thing in another medium. In cinematography, you just don't have the time to have another movie. In literature it may be easier, but in comics, you can juxtapose both narratives, without any problems. A writer would have a lot of problems to make it clear when he is talking about one plot or the other. In Watchmen, the pirate comic is woven perfectly within the plot.

Watchmen really shows that are few limitations to the medium. Moore himself has said that he and Gibbons were just trying to be smartasses, and put every little trick they could think of in Watchmen.

And the whole ...the ending involves the trope of the super-villian explaining his whole scheme to the heroes before doing them in... is silly. Because Ozymandias never wanted to "do them in", even if he was prepared to.

Yeah, it is a cliche to have the villain gloat about his plan. But the difference is that Ozymandias did it AFTER his plan was completed.

Of course, the whole thing is a deconstruction of the Superhero myth. So you lose a little understanding if you are not a DC/Marvel fan. But just a little.

As many have pointed out, Sandman may be more fitting for someone like you.
