It sucks when you try to write portable code in C++ and you end up not being able to use some cool stuff because not all compilers support it. A friend of mine switched to Java specificly because of this.
Yeah, that way you can't use any of the cool stuff...
1. M$ doesn't need to take drastic measures to kill GNU/Linux, because GNU/Linux isn't a drastic threat to them.
2. If Windows does reach 70% market share (and I mean because of GNU/Linux), GNU/Linux's rise would have been dramatic, and M$ going Open Source would make sense (note the conditional).
```Access the computer from the network'''---What the hell does this mean?
You can blame Windows for making it damn near impossible to do a good software design.
So it's a perfect troll?
Yeah, that way you can't use any of the cool stuff...
Then stop using gcc -O0 ;)
Stop being so Euro-centric :)
Posted this first thing, huh?
He already said to ignore it.
``People'' don't prefer active voice.
Readers do.
And that's why.
I don't *care* if your people can't compete in the global market. Really, I don't.
Bull.
Yes. Wal-Mart just gets lower prices than some people want to believe; that's all.
You obviously have never been to the Mid-West (i.e., the rest of the country).
Only if they can't hide the fact Peru did it first...
Actually, the first two names he gives are Richard Stallman and Linus Torvalds, as it should be.
The rest are just for completeness.
Actually, the whole point is to use Free Software.
It's a follow-up that adds nothing that's noted in the post.
It still gets -1, Redundant
You're mis-understanding---it's a joke.
The ``points'', insofar as there are any, are:
1. M$ doesn't need to take drastic measures to kill GNU/Linux, because GNU/Linux isn't a drastic threat to them.
2. If Windows does reach 70% market share (and I mean because of GNU/Linux), GNU/Linux's rise would have been dramatic, and M$ going Open Source would make sense (note the conditional).
It'll happen onced Windows drops below, say, 80% market share (yeah, right).
Oh, and once Windows drops below 70% market share, they'll Open Source it, too!
Nonsense
Hate to break it to you, but somethings aren't worth a reply, just moderation.
(The only reason you're getting this one is because I lack points.)
You want we should hoard our money?
Apparantly, some district in Peru
-$30.
/.---you do understand that hurts the economy, right?
Taco's work is
It's called ``jargon'', you fucking idiot.
``Internet Explorer is part of the user-interface level. The operating system is not (or atleast should not) be at this level.''
Welcome to the Wonderful World of Windows.
