  1. That just means the process has not been adequately broken down into discrete tasks. If this happens you need more consultants to train your people better. Or they're untrainable and they need to be fired and replaced with cheaper and more pliable immigrants.

  2. Anti intellectualism on display, folks. Get a load of the science denier. Please cite studies that refute the premise. Some scientists found an interesting correlation, published it, and all you've got is an emotional response because the conclusions make you uncomfortable? And you attempt to shift the blame on another societal group? Isn't that exactly what we criticize anti intellectuals for doing when confronted with inconvenient truths?

  4. Yeah, but if you get the right process, you don't need competent people. You can just hire H1Bs off the boat and as long as they follow the process, they produce the same results as the expensive workers. Why spend more?

I feel like you are arguing against what you imagine conservatives are saying. I'm so confused by your comment. Or, to put it a better way, you're arguing against what conservatives would have to say in order for your silly rhetoric to be taken seriously. Either way, it's strawmen all the way down. I remember hearing of studies (which I really need to chase down, if anyone has the reference I'd appreciate it) in which self-described "liberals" (or progressives) and conservatives were asked to describe how the other side would think of the issues. The conservatives proved to be pretty good at describing the leftists' positions, while the leftists were much worse at characterizing what their ideological opponents thought.

Obviously you have never had a shitty low level job before. They want you there rain or shine and there are penalties for absenteeism - in the database there are no fields for excuses. Miss work and you get written up and miss it again and you get fired. You've got to save those write-ups for the critical times, like when you're sick or your kid has a school concert. Can't waste them on a silly storm which will pass in an hour anyway.

Come off it, Leftists don't believe in free speech and association. They are front and center when it comes to censorship and silencing those with whom they disagree. Despite being called "conservative", people on the right tend to value free expression for all, even when it involves ideas that they don't agree with. They find the concepts of censorship, content moderation and banning people to be abhorrent concepts, and won't even subject their opponents to such things.

Meanwhile, it's the so-called "tolerant" leftists that engage in censorship, whether it's overt censorship through the deletion of content and banning of users/customers, or whether it's causing indirect self-censorship through threats of harm to the reputations or bodies of anyone they disagree with.

It isn't right wingers who want to limit what people can express thanks to "political correctness". It isn't right wingers who want to block content they dislike. It isn't right wingers who want to ban users who they disagree with. It's leftists who engage in such behavior.

The political right promotes free and open discussion of all ideas. The political left tries to shut down all expression that doesn't conform to their very narrow world view and narrative.

The Patriot Act wasn't passed by the Right, it was passed by neo-conserative warmongers. The Left has never believed in the Constitution and it is arguing in bad faith to maintain otherwise. They believe it to be an outdated racist document written by white men. How would they ever defend it? An act of utter cynicism, like a Christian quoting the Koran to try and stop terrorists.

The whole idea of the safety net is that you get back up on the tightrope and try again. I can't emphasize this enough. People on welfare just fall into the net, never try to leave, and start raising their families while still on the net. Imagine a circus where the performer never leaves the net after falling off, and you get the idea.
