Couple of years ago there was a TV-program on the German TV, where a camera was mounted on a train. This train drove through different countries and sceneries.

This programm was broadcasted at night, and was the best ever sleeping-drug I could imagine. Watching it after a busy day, it took only like 10 minutes before I fell in a deep sleep.

BTW you don't need a car and a VCR to create movies like this. If you live next to water where boats go by, or a busy road, or construction-works, it's very easy to create a timelapse-movie with only a webcam and webcam-software. Just make a pic every second, and use a tool to stitch all those pics to 1 movie afterwards. I did this a lot with cloudy skies, and it much fun to watch afterwards.

Just out of curiousity: The pics show that the rings cast shadows on the surface of Saturn. I wonder what it would look like if you were on the surface of Saturn, and would be in an area covered by ring-shadow. Is the light just more dim, or would it be completely dark? And would the rings be visible through the atmosphere (in both shadow or light)?

Hmmm how about an artist-impression of that... :-)

I heard they have added them lately though.

I did that once with my iBook/600Mhz, because the harddisk had died. Be prepared to the fact that de iBook is made up out of A LOT of plastic, and damage is done easily! Disassembling is very difficult compared to other laptops.

What I used was the iBook Upgrade website. But be aware that there is a lot of difference between the 12" and 14" versions, so screws are not always on the same location as shown on the pics!

Will the solution mentioned in the article also work in an area with high mountains and deep valleys, where there's only a few small villages with a small number of inhabitants?

When the press-conference of NASA was given about their revolutionairy findings, CNN was the only channel (at least here in The Netherlands) that paid attention to it. But as soon as it became clear that they had found indications for water, and NOT little green man, they immediately switched to other news. I think they only showed about 4 minutes of the press-conference. That shows how much (or lack of) interest the press and most of the public have in this mission. This is my biggest complaint against the whole EU as we know it: Citizens have nothing to tell about what happens in the EU. The EU is being led by politicians who often have a bad reputation in the countries were they had a local position. Like friends the old politicians point influencial posts to eachother. And these politicians often make decisions that will profit themselves, and damage the rights of regular citizens.

As a European citizen I thought I could be proud on a real democracy, as opposed to the model that is used in the USA (and which IMHO is NOT a democracy). Unfortunately, we are the playing field of politicians who are the puppets of big companies, just like the US is.
