you guys keep postin old news, but i guess since this a geeks news site with general information 3D specific information kinda lags behind. Square announced it's sale of Square Soft about 2 months ago (coulda been longer.) It does suck... Does not mean that it might not be used for something else in the future however, like Sony's Full Length CGI movie of Astroboy. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/article.php?id=142 3 I'm glad to see an old favorite anime go into a full length movie, I'm sure this'll do better than FFSWI because it's more geared toward children.
it belongs to them, when other sites that you go to everyday starts using it then start you're griping. I don't see why any slashdotter would be interested in the zone anyway, unless they are planning on going there.
I used to sell laptops that we custom built for ppl, no body would by them because individual parts were so expensive. Why would anybody buy a laptop with a 500mhz processor for close to 1500 when you could at the time buy it at best buy for 1100. Shope around price watch for discountinued laptops, or any good inexpensive laptops with the specs you want and pop linux on there. Lot cheaper than building it yourself.
not until i get it's ATA 166, or anything above 133. It sux that i finally get all my drives at ATA 100 and ATA 133 is out. No way, i'm not dishing out cash until the next upgrade.

In a shocking announcement Steve Jobs, and Bill Gates today announced that Microsoft will be purchasing Apple for undisclosed amount of 10.5 billion dollars. No word yet on the alledged dissapearance of Steve Ballmer.
to stop all those damn rookie accidents. One cool thing out of it, is that by the time the military adapts it, it will be standard practice for us. It's a cool idea. Will it work though?

are they still around? I thought they were giving up trying to make a browser now that they found out they suck. Are they still trying? Therapy is a good way of helping you let go of things.

I'm glad that Cartoon Network is putting more and more popular Anime series. Unfortunatley I'm a big fan of subtitled and unedited anime, but latley through the lack of money I have been restricted to buying my preciouse anime. This is a great way for Anime to gain a larger fan base in the States, and appreaciate the finer series of Anime, instead of the long popular card game based Pokemon and Digimon. Lets hope the trend keeps up and Sci Fi decides to bring back Saturday morning Anime.
This is way beyond beast wars. It was the first time they added Photo realistic textures to the characters. I think this movie was given a terrible review by Katz. He hasn't ever played the game, and i'll bet he doesn't understand the notion of anime. This movie was in all honesty pure anime. I'm not talking about wierd hair and large eyes, i'm talking about symbolic elements in a plot that has a deeper story. We have to understand that Japanese culture is different from ours, and the series of Final Fantasy, both game and movie, relate to it's orgins in anime. Most Anime ends with a world going into a new begging, some examples are Armitage and Neon Genesis Evangelion. And almost all anime has a spirtitual side to it that does not necessarily mean that they are trying to influence you into that religion. Basically Katz should not be reviewing a movie that he doesn't understand, he should've done a bit of research. This movie blows the door away in what we used to see 3D animation as. Shrek, Antz, Toy story and a bugs life were all cartoony (even though it was intentional) but they never amounted to the level of animation that this movie had. It is a revolution in the 3D art world, and I can't wait till all these 3D studios take this as the new standard and keep out slugging better and better 3D movies. Yes Mainframe did have some good work for its day, but lets face it they are out dated compared to Dream Works and Square Pictures.
