Well it depends on how you look at it, NBC wanted to force Apple to carry more shows, Apple decided not to since they shows weren't likely to be downloaded.
for those too lazy to click Sony may be coming out with a 40GB system for $399 and dropping the price of the 80 gig system to $499 (and including spiderman 3 as a packin for both). Yeah it's an odd move but I've stopped trying to explain Sony's product moved logically long ago.
>I think your forgetting the time it took to get the game shipped to stores, find a store that has it, and then buy it, and drive home. Thats measured in days, not hours, like steam.
oddly enough the game was available in stores (EB called me monday about my pre order) before it was available on steam. Steam is afraid of pissing on retailers so if a game is sold both at retail and via Steam they are available atthe same time.
Didn't Monster just fire a lot of people? I'm guessing they let someone go who has access rights that weren't revoked (or happened to know someone login info who wasn't fired) and that person decided to 'get back'.
>you think the battery-removal dance is a positive experience!
more positive than having to take it back to a store or having the company assume i'm stupid so they limit development on the phone so i don't 'muck it up'...
>ilovebees was an ARG, this however, is just a marketing campaign. You really can't call it a 'game' at all. Games require interaction, ilovebees had people making phone calls and traveling places. This Halo 3 'ARG' has consisted of everyone being handed the information on a silver platter.
which is why this is being called the 'pregame'... it's not the actual ARG.
so we should make it illegal to allow people to look into open windows? We disallow all public space photography because you might catch a image of someone in their residence? We disallow the posting of pictures because they might contain 'Privite' stuff?
You have to take reasonable steps to protect your privicy from people in public area's and that includes having some blinds or curtains.
they had lots of lag in the city area's and the 'hardly any queues' is only a good thing if you compare it to WoW... most games have launched without any queues.
well they hope to remember artistic needs are infinite, an engine (no matter the horsepower) is finite so if they don't do a better job of balancing their art wants to the capability's of the engine they are going to have the same problem.
having a beefier engine doesn't automatically solve the problem because the art direction will always want more than it can provide. It's very possible that bungie will once again insist on sticking to in game rendering to the determent of the game because their art needs outstrip their engine capability (a la Halo 2)
considering you could watch the halo 2 cinematics be drawn while it was playing this shouldn't be hard to do. Or they might be smart enough to stick with pre rendered instead of doing them on the fly.
>the earlier you get your refund, the more interest it can accrue in your savings account as opposed to an interest-free loan to Uncle Sam...
assuming you get a refund, personally i like to wait as long as possible before paying the government (which means i didn't give them a interest-free loan like most americans).
But even I'm smart enough to file a few days ahead of the final day
>in EQ2 the punishements are slightly more severe, you respawned alive and well similar to were your ghosts spawns in WoW but with a severe hit to your stats and XP. You could lighten the punishment by recovering your "shard" from your place of death
they removed the whole 'go get your shard' bit, Not you respawn at a spawn point with a mild xp and stat hit.
I wouldn't call the PS3 'Widely' available, it occasionally see a unit or two in stores in my area but it's not as available as say the 360. (it's prob as available as say the DS which is pretty damn hard to find for a year+ old system)
Well it depends on how you look at it, NBC wanted to force Apple to carry more shows, Apple decided not to since they shows weren't likely to be downloaded.
>With the 60GB version now 'sold out', the 80GB version of the PlayStation 3 is quickly going to be the only option for consumers in stores.
Kotaku/Ars Technica says otherwise

>Half Life 2 Orange Box (cross platform)
last I heard the PS3 version was delayed till 2008... however the pc and 360 version are coming out in the fall.
and what i've seen and heard of lair it's hardly a highlight, most of those unique ps3 highlights are questionable.
so the iphone is unbreakable software wise? HA

Since you are factoring in the Valve Fudge Factor (VFF) means you must be talking about December 2009 right???
>I canceled my Vanguard account when they purchased Sigil
so the stunning game play the game had would have been enough to keep you around?
or better yet move the house somewhere that'll still be around in 20+ years...
as long as the ending involves flying motorcycles I'm happy

they also have pics on the GWB which i think has the same law (not that it stops anyone from taking pics but there are signs saying not to)
they had lots of lag in the city area's and the 'hardly any queues' is only a good thing if you compare it to WoW... most games have launched without any queues.
But yes the launch has been very solid.

must be a canada thing... perhaps Canadians keep on trying to exchange beer cans for them?

>And it still made everything else in the RPG market look like garbage.
damn i need to get your copy of fable because mine blew chunks.
>Yeah, I know, Sony has GTA4 too. But they won't have the downloadable content.
yes it will... the downloadable content will be different between the 2 systems but both will have it.

HELL NO! (assuming you are talking about the ps3 and not the DS):D

>The commercials aren't on TV anymore,
Where do you live? the commercials are still on tv as much as they ever were.
