It seems pretty clear to me why you ditched the system. All the games you listed as being great were from the shock-horror genre. The Cube has a much lower selection of these games as say the PS2 or XBox.
I think most gamers would think of the Zeldas, Metroids, Marios as the GCN's great games and this is where the strength of the GCN lies.
That's what's nice about having multiple consoles, each can tailor to different users.
Good points. I especially agree with the backwards compatibility point. That would sell me in a heartbeat. I spent a lot of $$$ on GCN games, and to be able to reuse them and not waste space in my console area is very valuable to me.
The extra storage would help games for sure. Memory cards get on my nerve. As an added expense they seem useless. A built-in memory card would be nice. 256 megabytes at least though.
I don't think a next-gen F-Zero game would be a big selling point. Nor the 3D googles.
Why won't they port to the PC? That's easy: because Nintendo doesn't make a dime on PC sales. They do however make a pretty penny everytime somebody slaps down $99 for a GBASP. They make even more when the person decides they want to buy another game.
I want a good AA replacement for the Energizer NiMH batteries I use now for my Wavebird controller. Maybe it's just the way I charge them, but I get 3-4 hours at a time, not the 80 that the article states.
It's a pain to be playing a game and about to do something cool when your input goes dead and you end up getting whacked.
If publishers are dropped GCN games, it's because they are preparing their titles for the next gen Nintendo system. Nintendo has made it known that they want to be first 'out of the gates' with their system, so it would seem logical that they have dev kits ready for it and have distributed them to developers. Hence, the companies are moving their game ideas to the new system.
Hi. We like the PSP. But to coincide with your request that we port all our classics to the PSP so that you can actually sell one, we're going to need a bit more time.
I wouldn't really say you're hacking the Gameboy Advance considering you just bought a pre-hacked Flashcart, pre-hacked homegrown devel kit, and building some programs for the well-documented system.
To me, it would be hacking if you wrote a program that made the GBA connect to some device that it wasn't intended for (like a digital camera, etc).
Well it's not really the image file running the commands. It's the browser that is loading the image. The browser reads bad image data and gets overwritten.
TweakUI is the first thing I install. I can't stand the default Windows Explorer setup.
I still use mine as well ;-)
Of course I don't play games, so I could care less.

But there would be so many players, and only ONE Violet?
How the hell would that work?
Then take it out of the freezer!
Da-dum-crash!!!!
Seriously folks, I'll be here all week.
I also recommend DT's Scenes from a Memory.
Wonderful album!
Previous message brought to you by the RIAA with joint recognition from the MPAA.
They are. It comes out June 7th.

So does that mean we'll see AA and AAA batteries?

I hope I'm right
The article said that the release would be out within the week.
You've got to hand it to the ethereal team for their quick fixes.
The bottom of the advisory states that they were made aware on the 5th of March, and by the 23rd of March all the holes were fixed.
Hmmmmmm how many consoles support OpenGL/AL, Alegro, SDL?
That's right: Zero (well it's rumored that the Gamecube's API is similar to OpenGL, but I can't confirm)
Those toolkits are primarily used for interoperability between PC architectures, not consoles.
K-Mart
If you RTFA, you'd see that they are burnt at 2.4X
Dear Sony,

Looks like you could use one too my friend.
your -> you're
It's in the chromosomes (akin to silicon). There's no way to remove that mode unfortunately.

I think you're forgetting the $299-499 OTA receiver which decodes the UHF into HDTV.
Be careful however because the GRE relies heavily on the use of common contractions.
As everybody is aware, positronic nets can not process contractions, and hence you might not score as well as expected.

It's no hoax.
If you read the bugtraq article, notice how the poster claims:
Anyway, I took a look, and decided that Microsoft is GAYER THAN AIDS.
