Yeah, I figured out how to do this properly in a few ways and not just on x86 computers a few years ago. I also took the time to design my own paranoid crypto so it can't be broken as easily any american crypto can today.
My solution is either a CD RW / DVD RW or USB key device or encrypted p2p connection for when you don't have a CD / DVD writer or USB key device.

The real interesting thing is that they are a few years behind where I am already with my Kaos BSD R&D. And they need at least 6gig, compared to a CD.

  3. Re:Keys. Already doing this in Kaos (bsd) on Five PC Innovations the Industry Should Get To · · Score: 1

The method I am looking to implement involves distributing the OS and apps on a CD or DVD rom, then letting the user create an encrypted copy of either :
    a. CD/DVD RW with their favorite apps, preferences and documents. or
    b. usb drive with favorite apps, preferences and documents. or
    c. distribute the preferences and documents on the p2p network.

This effectively lets the user keep a stable copy of the system and a working copy of what I call the user profile, the data they use daily.

You can even fit it all on a 128 Mb usb drive and have room for files.

no, you miss the point. Unless you are in the USA, UK, France or Germany there is no iTunes Music Store to buy these exclusive songs legally.
P2P is the only way to go if you aren't in the few countries that let you buy music online. Maybe if NZ was part of Australia, we would have choices, but we don't get much for 4 million people.
However, I would record off core-radio.net.nz if they didn't cross fade songs all the time.
