AFAIK, Perot isn't running. If I wasn't in a swing state, I'd probably vote for Badnarik (the Libertarian candidate), but I'd shoot myself if Kerry won my state by one vote and the election by that state.
What's QA? Seriously, for most of my projects, I was the QA. Since I am anal, I usually did a good job of catching bugs, but more than one error got past me, mainly because I underestimated the wacky stuff users can and will do. Another pair of eyes, preferably from someone who didn't know the code, really would have helped.
I agree! When I was a kid, I bought my comics at 7-11. Now, the comics store is in a part of town that isn't safe for a 200 pound man, let alone a 10 year old kid!
I agree! I'm still new to Mandrake 10, but so far it "just works". I had to do a little research on setting up urpmi, but other than that, it's been very easy.
As a matter of fact, I just BOUGHT a new printer. I tried installing it on my dual-boot system under Windows first, since I figured that would be easy. It started off saying that that printer wasn't recommended by Microsoft, then I got various error messages. I rebooted to Mandrake 10, and it detected my printer, asked me to insert the Madrake 10 CD1, and now I can print under Mandrake but not (yet) under Doze! Windows is too hard for me!:-PPP
I won't swear to it, but I THINK Micros#!t releases it's patches the second Tuesday of the month. They made an exception for the latest IE stuff, but they normally just do it once a month (if I'm correct).
I suspect the above poster is comparing XP with Linux, not with earlier versions of Windows. Certainly XP isn't bad for a Microsoft OS, but compared to Linux, it is teh suxor!
Awhile ago, my mom asked me if I was using a firewall! I was surprised, because she doesn't even HAVE a computer herself and doesn't know squat about them. But she does listen to the radio, heard someone talk about computer (in)security and the need to have a firewall, and she wanted to make sure I had one. Even non-experts can be pretty sharp!
I don't have a problem with the "Great Klingon Makeover", but I would like an "explaination" for it. Especially after that ROTFL comment Worf made in DS9's "Trouble with Tribbles" crossover. "We don't discuss it".
As for everyone speaking English, isn't that what Universal Translators are for?
Source RPMs? For the kernel? Begone, foul demon for even suggesting such blasphmy! Some of us don't use RPM distros, you know.
Unless you pulled 2.4.11-dontuse or 2.4.15-greased-turkey off kernel.org.
My dad's dead - and he'd STILL do a better job than either of the Big Two!
AFAIK, Perot isn't running. If I wasn't in a swing state, I'd probably vote for Badnarik (the Libertarian candidate), but I'd shoot myself if Kerry won my state by one vote and the election by that state.
Wouldn't fool me. Everyone I've offended enough to take a 40K contract on me is already dead!

It's not $14.95/month. It's ANOTHER $14.95/month. There's a difference.
Nah, I've never gotten a phone call from her.
When someone told me to quit carping, I thought he wanted me to get off the stool!
Oh no! They've already got politicians up there!
Or does the very name of IE sound like a scream?
I don't think he really meant it the way it sounded. Nobody would be dumb enough to mouth off like that if he really intended to "fix" the election.
Of course, he's still too stupid to be entrusted with our voting, and his machines should be ripped out and thrown into the nearest lake!
No way! Bush isn't the one who flip-flops!

Could be worse. I was afriad we'd get a 786 clone called the Deviated Septium!
It's just asking for trouble to have "yum" and "urpmi" on the same system!

Ah, but PC no longer stands for "personal computer". It is now short for "Pee Cee". And we all know what OS goes with THAT name!
I suspect the above poster is comparing XP with Linux, not with earlier versions of Windows. Certainly XP isn't bad for a Microsoft OS, but compared to Linux, it is teh suxor!
Getting pwned by every known type of virus/spyware/malware isn't what I'd call "suitable"

Nah, too unrealistic! Stuff like that would never happen.
