Or do like me call before I build a house. Phone company says no its not there now but it will be in 6 months. I have lived in my house for more than 5 years and I still have no broadband. Lying Bastards
Better yet How many people in this country have not used a scantron sheet to take a test? You give them out to everyone in line they fill it out as they advance through the line then scan it and have it drop into a lock box. There you go stable mature technology instant counting of votes and a paper trail. The only question left is how to get the data to a central server but there are many options for that problem.
So what happenes when your car is in a wreck and the wires to the fasteners are damaged? do you have to repair the wireing harness before you repair the car? where does this leave junk yards that salvage parts from wrecked vehicles? will they have to repair the cars before they part them out? This might make cars easier to assemble but its going to be a nightmare when they need repairs.
$45 a month would be fine by me its much better than paying the $75 I am paying now just to watch Sopranos in HDTV once a week. give me Discovery, Spike,TLC,Comedy Central and HBOHD and I would be happy.
I work for a small to midsized company 400-500 employees and we just installed the hand scanners to be used for payroll. So far the employees love it no problems with losing a time card all the machines are syncd so the time on one side of the plant is the same as on the other and no one can sign in a friend early or an enemy out early. Our hand scanners also do not take fingerprints. Its mearly a 3d image of the hand even if we gave that info to everyone that asked what could you do with it. This has no security issues that I can see and many advantages over a time clock system.
What happened to for the people by the people who cares what a judge thinks. 50 million people can't be wrong. Its our phone number if we want it on a no call list it should be our right to put it there. The only time it would be over stepping a boundry would be if the FTC signed the numbers up without your permission.
Don't forget some of us still do not have access to a high speed connection. Sure most of the country can get satellite or isdn but these dont count in my book. I am not talking about people in inaccesable areas I live 8 miles from town and there is nothing here and the phone company has told me they have no plans on bringing it out to me. When everyone can get DSL Cable Wireless or powerline Internet then you can say dial up is a niche market but not until then.
Just remember this is a FEDERAL judge do you really think he buys his own paper and toner? No we do the tax payers I seriously doubt he even knows where the fax machine is that is what clerks are for. now his home phone number would be a different story
Lets see pay $500 for web design classes at local jr college, or get caught painting your name outside the 7-11 and take them for free. I know which one I would choose. Do we really want to teach trouble makers how to use a computer and turn them loose on the net?
I would rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lombotomy

I prefered the use of "metric fuck load" as the biggest unit of measurement available.

wernt there three sonic booms before the delorean went back in time? Maybe thats why it took so long for this story to hit the slashdot frontpage.

Where do you buy your catridges at? $10 for 8 sounds like a bargain to me.

And of course 2014 just happens to be the year my house is finally paid for. Next time I build a hobbit hole.

Maybe they will have a real network connection and not usb.
Just Think if every sysadmin took the day off to celebrate maybe the people they work with would understand what we do all day
