    Has this actually been confirmed, or is this just someone posting a fake article? Is there anyone who has noticed these books disappearing, an alternate news article, or some secondary source? It could just be someone yanking your chain.

    Reminds me of the little story in The Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe, about the fleet created to attack Arthur Dent, but there was a slight miscalculation about size, and a dog ate the entire fleet. Seems like these guys also made a slight miscalculation.

    Anonymous attacks, Amazon says "what is that stupid dog doing?"

    You can give them a document, and tell them that it will cost $10,000 to recover the keys on it if they lose it, and spend 3 hours explaining how important this is, and they will be unable to locate it 3 days later. Don't underestimate the ability of an employee to forget where they left their lunch, much less an important password.

    You should never fall for one of these scams, else your ******** might get exposed by a key logger. I'm careful that I only enter my ******** when I am sure that no keylogger is attached to my keyboard. If you are careful, noone will ever guess your ******** even without these extra processes used to hide them.

    How's this for a future story.

    "We saved the Grand Canyon by banning Pink underwear!" Having banned pink underwear, the Grand Canyon didn't fly into outer space because of embarrassment. Future people should all praise us for taking this wonderful preventative measure.

    The fact that something didn't happen, when it was never going to happen, just because you did something ridiculous, doesn't make you a hero.

    And I say that lowering the levels of CO2 will cause fairies to explode into flower scented farts. The burden of proof is on you to prove that it won't happen. Or do you want all the fairies to die?

    Why should we have to prove your speculations false, when you have no proof that they are true? You are the ones making such wild claims. The best you have are computer models with failed predictions, like the Arctic completely melting by 2006. Your "proof" that CO2 has anything to do with temperature, is that you took a vote (consensus) on it. Sorry, that isn't proof of any kind. If I got a group a school children (student scientists) to vote that pi was 12, would that really make it true?

    This sort of reverse proof is how religions work, not science. Until you stop praying to Algore and try to understand what is actually going on, you will be unable to do anything about it. You might as well just throw your favorite spouse and children into the nearest volcano. It would probably solve more problems than anything else you are doing.

    If you look at the article, it isn't the carbon that is replaced, it's the phospherous. The carbon is still there, in all its glory. And they don't tell us if all the phospherous was replaced, or just some of it. Instead of having 4 possible DNA codes, they could have 5. What would it mean if we discover that our DNA has a few arsnic bases hidden away?

    Why do you think that? Some people will steal the most worthless crap, expecting to get rich from it. In fact there have been wars fought over crap (look at the wikipedia article on guano). Stealing fibre-optic cable, which can be used to make Christmas orniments, isn't out of the question.

    It depends on if the owners of the house actually wanted you to tear it down.

    The copper thieves don't care who owns the stuff, they'll take it anyway. The only way to reduce the thefts is to make theft less desireable. Extended jail time, huge fines to resellers, etc. could make a big difference.
