"""Apparently, they may be going to Y. They may even go to Z. And, according to a non-authoritative source, they may even bypass Y and Z and go to AA."""
Well, then that'll be a long way until they catch up with XP (: Let alone VISTA.
Hang around in #MacOSX on Freenode for the next week, I guarantee you will see hosed systems:) (And not just from random people popping in, regulars will be hit as well). Happens every release. Yeah, and like every release, many of the problems will have nothing to do with the update.
Perhaps we'll see it in Gnome or (preferably IMO) KDE before Windows 7 is ever released? Well, that should be easy. Just wait a couple of years, then start working on it.
and yes, I know they eventually dropped TPM.
Probably because it was driving costs up... and not working. Errm, the link you gave says they never used it.
Wow, so Apple haters have now reached the new low of comparing Jobs to Kim Jong Il.
I know! Unbelievable isn't it? Especially when Mussolini is a much more appropriate comparison. I knew you'ld be the one to complain that Apple keeps the trains on time.
[spoiler:]
There's a damned giant flying saucer, that has nothing to do here and completely ruins the franchise.
WTF? Did Spielberg run out of ancient culture to use as a historical background to Indy's adventure, so he was desperate to put some E.T. in there ? How is a UFO more unbelievable than a vengeful god who sends ghosts to turn Nazis aflame when you open a stupid trunk? The idea that these "gods" were actually ETs didn't start with Stargate.
It IS a DNS server, just not an authoritative server. DNS servers come in 2 flavors, authoritative servers (which hold the actual info) and recursive servers (which do the looking up for a client). To put it simple: you can replace BIND with Unbound if you don't have Zone files, right?
Design != skinning. Design is how it works, not how it looks. Isn't it odd how it's always the PC users being focused on the look of things? Case modding? Skins to make Windows "look like" (but not act like) MacOS X?
Scholarship being so specialized by the mid-20th century when Einstein died, I seriously doubt that he had the time both to read adequately in both fields. Any branch of philosophy is now a full-time job. Then get back to work and stop posting here!
How about in addition to being distracted, you also have little chance to fully control the car when something happens.
Do you have any evidence to support your hypothesis?
What about manual transmissions, should we outlaw those? Shifting requires that your ten-and-two rule be broken. Are you serious? Just in case you are (in which case you shouldn't be allowed to drive any vehicle), unless an idiot drives has his hand on the stick all time, he will lose contact with the steering wheel for that one hand for less than two seconds when switching - not dozens of seconds or even minutes.
Anyway thanks for pointing out that phoning and switching gears at the same time is close to impossible.
Everybody is against [hands full cellphone calls while driving]
Really? What makes that worse than hands-free cellphone calls?
How about in addition to being distracted, you also have little chance to fully control the car when something happens. It's ten to two, not ten and in your ear.
Which explorer are you referring to? IE7 will switch between tabs with Ctrl-Tab, earlier versions don't have tabs. Of course I've only used IE on Windows, and reluctantly at that. The Explorer, not IE. Or is it called Windows-Explorer? Your explanation about SDI vs. MDI explains that.
Well, then that'll be a long way until they catch up with XP (: Let alone VISTA.
How nice of you to sign your posts, Mr. AC. As for sources - read about any tests of Macs and PCs.
That's what the AC says, but at least I am right.
Offtopic? The truth hurts, hrmm?
The funny thing is, Macs use less power when sleeping than most PCs when "off".
Gee, I knew you would take credit for other peoples work. You stepped right into this.
And in case the OP still wants to see the trump - compare the noise from a 360 and an Apple TV.
Stand 60 people in-line before an Apple Store and wait how many +5 hate-posts you get on Slashdot.
Look at this picture: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Churchill_1881_ZZZ_7555D.jpg. How old is what you see? Churchill would be 133 now, the image ~127 years old - but young Winston is only 7.

Maybe he means the other, top-secret, tragic shuttle incident.
