    The funny thing is, Macs use less power when sleeping than most PCs when "off".

    Hang around in #MacOSX on Freenode for the next week, I guarantee you will see hosed systems :) (And not just from random people popping in, regulars will be hit as well). Happens every release. Yeah, and like every release, many of the problems will have nothing to do with the update.

Did Spielberg run out of ancient culture to use as a historical background to Indy's adventure, so he was desperate to put some E.T. in there ? How is a UFO more unbelievable than a vengeful god who sends ghosts to turn Nazis aflame when you open a stupid trunk? The idea that these "gods" were actually ETs didn't start with Stargate.

    It IS a DNS server, just not an authoritative server. DNS servers come in 2 flavors, authoritative servers (which hold the actual info) and recursive servers (which do the looking up for a client). To put it simple: you can replace BIND with Unbound if you don't have Zone files, right?

    Design != skinning. Design is how it works, not how it looks. Isn't it odd how it's always the PC users being focused on the look of things? Case modding? Skins to make Windows "look like" (but not act like) MacOS X?

    No, what we are seeing is only 140 years old. None of us will see it at 28140 years of age.

    Look at this picture: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Churchill_1881_ZZZ_7555D.jpg. How old is what you see? Churchill would be 133 now, the image ~127 years old - but young Winston is only 7.

    How about in addition to being distracted, you also have little chance to fully control the car when something happens. Do you have any evidence to support your hypothesis? What about manual transmissions, should we outlaw those? Shifting requires that your ten-and-two rule be broken. Are you serious? Just in case you are (in which case you shouldn't be allowed to drive any vehicle), unless an idiot drives has his hand on the stick all time, he will lose contact with the steering wheel for that one hand for less than two seconds when switching - not dozens of seconds or even minutes.

    Anyway thanks for pointing out that phoning and switching gears at the same time is close to impossible.

    Really? What makes that worse than hands-free cellphone calls?

    How about in addition to being distracted, you also have little chance to fully control the car when something happens. It's ten to two, not ten and in your ear.

    Which explorer are you referring to? IE7 will switch between tabs with Ctrl-Tab, earlier versions don't have tabs. Of course I've only used IE on Windows, and reluctantly at that. The Explorer, not IE. Or is it called Windows-Explorer? Your explanation about SDI vs. MDI explains that.
