Personally I'm more scared about what Bush has done and is capable of doing than Kerry. It's all a matter of who sucks less. NO politician is perfect/all good/insert adjective.
I have listened to Stern and he's mostly child and potty humor. The FCC does have the authority to moderate "decent" speech- Stern is purposely over the top lewd. I should be free of listening to his smut when I'm channel surfing. I'm glad he's on paid radio. Those that want to listen to him can pay for it- just like those that want soft-core porn can pay for Skinimax.
I can always fall asleep after a couple of beers or a glass or wine or two. I mainly have problems sleeping after playing socder/floor hockey at night after work.
Aren't there jurisdiction issues with each state having it's own laws? A spammer violates different laws in each state they send spam to? I'm no lawyer but it seems to me that any lawsuits would be very complicated with different sets of laws..
Did anyone see the episode of MythBusters where they DISPELLED this urban legend??? They filled a 10x10 or so chamber with gas fumes and called a cell phone repeatedly- no fire....
The most important classes I took were Discrete Mathematics 1 and 2 which covers predicate logic, number theory ect and Algorithms which is useful in programming. I'd say Calc 1,2 and 3, Differential Equations are of no real use.
Mac's seem to be immune from viruses not because Mac's are totally secure, it's due to the fact that the clowns that write viruses HATE Microsoft and want MS to look bad. Every OS has holes of some sort. No software is perfect.
Come on- the title is a bit misleading. It's not outlawing all file sharing, just sharing that violates copyright law. No big deal if you actually read the bill text.
This is unfortunately true- I usually tell them yes but then make them fully aware of all the negatives that go along with saying yes. If after that if they say yes- they get it.
Of course you should have access- I'm assuming you are an adult. I see NO difference between rating and restricting movie and doing the same with video games. The law seems to restrict access to violent games by MINORS. I think this has been lost in the discussion.
It's a public university- i.e. they have to abide by state and federal law. If the Patriot Act prohibits linking to "dangerous" sites then to me it's in violation of the 1st amendment. So they need to decide which one is right- the 1st Amd. or the Patriot Act.
But that is the point- most people are, sad to say, not that observant and will just get frustrated with case-sensitivity. I have a hard enough time trying to get my grandmother to even use a mouse. She still can't comprehend the whole "I need to click to put the focus on a textbox". Granted I think our generation is able to pick up computers a bit easier.
They can't even read an article about them being censored!
Oh the irony...

agreed. although I prefer bad sleep over no sleep.
and I'm not advocating 10 beers- 3-4 does it for me. I use it a a relaxing agent.

why not just write your own compiler?
this is what it sounds like you want???
there's nothing you can do if your client is this dumb. I wouldn't waste the time trying to explain it. Just give up.

There is actually a link on the MSN homepage- I'd go ahead and guess that MSN get's more hits than /.
Yes- spammer should all die-
seriously- they are one of the lowest forms of businessmen..
This is unfortunately true- I usually tell them yes but then make them fully aware of all the negatives that go along with saying yes.

Companies shouldn't have to disclose the innards of their technology- they produced it- therefore they can control how it's disseminated.
I read somewhere that they were going to have a .sex or .xxx top level domain to indicate that the site is a porn site...
