That's what Science Fiction has become the last few years... anything to do with space. Even though things like Star Wars is more fantasy than anything else, it's still classified as Sci-Fi.
Do you get 18Mbit/sec, or is it what the ISP say is the maximum you can get? There's a huge difference. MY ISP says "At least 10Mbit/sec full duplex", and I've never been below 11Mbit/sec on speed tests. Up, it's actually closer to 13Mbit/sec, and now they're upgrading me to 25/25 later this month too. Oh, and no data cap. By the way what I really wanted to say was that I have no problems maxing out my connection, and I have friends with 100/100 which also can max out their connection.
Everyone you know who has started using GIMP is probably a geek, not an upper level person at a company or other place where image matters.
Yeah, that's why the in-house applications in the company I work for have names like CATS, SMILE, BRATS, SODIT, etc. Somebody there using GIMP wouldn't surprise me at all!
Oh, and yes, we're by far the biggest one in the world in "our" industry.
Worked great on a p4 3.2ghz with a 8600GTS(or something...) - you must be doing something wrong. Even on my 2nd gen EEE it works with tolerable performance
How about bringing back troops stationed in countries where there is absolutely no war? Like Germany? Japan? You don't even have to cut in the two wars to save money on the military budget.
There's a huge difference between Belgium and the US! Even a blind man can see that.
In the US, it would shut down. In Belgium, it just continues the way it did before the the issue arose. People in the public sector is still getting paid, garbage collection still works, roads are being fixed, etc.
In the meantime, it says the machines will ship with Ubuntu LTS. That suggests to me that Commodore OS 1.0 is likely to be yet another Linux distro, maybe with some sort of nostalgic Commodore-like skin.
I don't think there's as much development left as you think. Plumbing and frame? Yes. Avionics and control system? Probably mostly done already because of F9. Just need to scale it to 3 engine clusters. I don't think it's "a few billion dollars" left. Remember, it's an engineering company, not NASA.
Because the same company delivers hardware to US as well.
Asimov is rolling over in his grave.
You mean orbiting?

I had the same issue, got a new player, and they stopped giving me disc read errors...
Because you can?
But it isn't that bad.I haven't come close to maxing it out and I tried. I don't know, how exactly do you use more than 250GB in a month?
You're doing it wrong!

It's a far better service!

Hooray for living in a country where this kind of shit is unlawful!
You can say the same for everything else as well... "MIT discovers cold fusion! - Bah! This is just a barely-hidden advertisement for MIT!"
The Shuttles never were the height of human achievements.
Because they can't get out of LEO
Honestly? I'm more surprised Stavanger, Illinois didn't get one...

You're looking at the wrong plan - that's the one about how the Catholic Church could fix poverty!

It might be in the book, but it's not a "Breaking News" kind of thing. It's been known for quite some time already!
And still using Slackware, we hope?
If they do, I'm gonna start DDOS'ing Anonymous!
Old news - Russia is starting to plan a new fission-spacecraft.

ooooh! Want one! Unless it's Ubuntu-based...

Or install KDE
If I'd done that with Photoshop or GIMP, I'd still be at it!
GIMP has command line options for batch processing for exactly this use case.
