    Me too! But I use another tool - it's called "Outside". I know it's old and all that, but it works for me, not to mention the fact that it's totally free!

    As a daily KDE4 user, which only have problems when I upgrade the packages while I am still using the system, I'd say it's your distro's fault, and not KDE!

    Maybe they should consider using appropriate labels then for those "development releases". Maybe stick an Alpha there, a Beta here, you know, something helpful.

    Or distros should stop trying to include everything that came out last week, and do what Slackware does

    Seriously, KDE doesn't need any customization to make it usable for Joe Public. I use a clean Slackware install - and everything is just as good as in other options, like Windows7

    More than once visitors who saw some of the options I showed them (especially in Dolphin) asked how to enable them in Windows 7 :)

    Hope you told them that all they had to do was to install KDE?

    Exactly - "We will see" - but when? Gnome 3.0 might be an improvement compared to current, but will it be able to compete with KDE? I don't think so unless they've got huge changes they haven't told us about yet.

    I don't prefer any one brand over another, but I typically tell my clients to stay away from Dells (because of all the issues with capacitors on motherboards over the last several years).

    Dude, are seriously considering things that happened several years back on desktops when buying brand new laptops?? We have 3-4000 Dell laptops at my company, and there has never been any "capacitors on montherboards issues". Our experience when comparing Dell to other brands is that they are at least as good as most of them. Only Asus, Lenovo and to some extent Apple are better.

    Well... if he actually had a clue, he'd let us know what they currently have, what he imagines needs to be done, and then ask for comments. Not asking for input with a blank sheet of paper to put it on.

    So, you are using the same argument as the Chinese are doing when people are complaining about human rights and stuff? It's a free world, because most of the Europeans countries are free. They just use their rights to regulate their people?
