The orbit of ISS will be increased after the shuttles are retired (it's because of them that it's got the current one), which would decrease the amount of orbital decay per year.
I went the other way... I read the bible and became a non-christian! I've also got the Koran and the Torah in my collection, and I'm not Muslim nor Jew.
Rants like this are not from true Linux people, only 14 year-old wannabes (or Stallman) - but yes, I agree that it might drive the mainstream away from Linux.
If you PC won't boot slackware, you won't be able to boot ubuntu/debian/etc either
I've not installed slackware on a single pc the last 2-3 years that didn't have everything up and running without compiling any kernels unless it was related to disk controllers which weren't supported by the kernel in the first place
...why is another Windows PC considered Slashdot front page material?
More than 50% of the MS haters here still use Windows, after some kind of epic fail when installing ubuntu!
The rest of us linux guys? We don't give a s**t about what OS cool gadgets run, as long as we can install linux on it after it's been bought. I want one of those myself, and the first thing I'll do when I get one is install slackware 13!
Are you seriously comparing one scene in remake BSG with Saw? The scene you're describing sets the tone for the cylons and what they're willing to do. It's part of the story, it's part of the new show. If you don't like the show, I agree - Wall-E is available on Blu-ray!(Btw - I enjoyed Wall-E, but it's a different story all together)
And if you want your kids to enjoy something you enjoyed when you were their age, show them the show you saw, and not one made for older audience.
I haven't seen a new SD-TV for sale since probably 2006. Are people still using them? Come to think of it - I haven't seen one in use either since around the same year.
Remember; what happens at julebord, stays at julebord!
My Opel Vectra goes >600 miles on a 13 gallon tank!
But it's true! Even though the signal is the same, the cable itself looks better!
That was done in Norway a couple of years ago (7-8?). And Malaysia I think, and... oh, guess the idea probably came from the US ;)

Insightful? - I thought this was rather hilarious!
Which is also in effect socialism...
And people are getting agitated about single payer plans?
Stupid Americans!

2010 will be the year of "rocket on the desktop"!

What do you have to fiddle with?
I've been running current on several on my machines after it swtiched to 4.2 and no issues!
I'll join if you create a facebook group!
What else would you call the ball they use in American Football?
Handball! Obviously
- There are hardly any mainstream Linux distributions that are ARM ready.
Trust Slackware to fill your needs:

My PS3 has been on 24/7 since launch apart from a few weeks when I've been away on holiday.
No issues!
PC has been on 24/7 since December 2004. Only been taken down for upgrades of graphics, ram and HDD. Even less issues!
The PS3 is just as good as the PC!

Challenge accepted! Now go forth and bring me a child!
Every child should watch all of the "once upon a time" series - I got them all on DVD - now I just need a child!
Do I have to get the Dutch one?
Why are we _supposed_ to care about other species?
Because everybody likes a juicy steak!
Imagine having to eat tofu for the rest of your life...

One less country where I could potentially settle down if I have to relocate.
My existence in itself would be enough to trigger the blasphemy law.
I expect HQ images in the Jenna Jameson article!
