The only problem I have with the current Linux Flash is that the sound is out of sync with the picture. This makes using Google Video or You Tube a bit a hassle. So my question is
Has the sound synchronization problem been fixed?
On a side note, if you don't like flash ads with screaming sound, just install Flash Block.
If there's one thing Microsoft know how to do, it's advertise the crap out of people. In the UK, when they launched their search engine, the advert was on in EVERY single break. Prepare to have this rammed down your throat for the next year or so.
As well as making appearances in TV shows, remember Will and Grace?
What about the rights of the innocent human cells killed in this process? Have these scientists no moral fiber whatsoever?
Where as I don't agree with Animal or Embryo experimentation, I do accept that this kind of research is necessary to save the lives of countless others in the future. I do long for the day though that science has progressed far enough to make these kind of experiments unnecessary.
this is akin to you going to a restaurant and upon asking for a Coke, you are instead served a Pepsi or Dr. Pepper.
Not really, every resturant I've been in to will ask you if it's OK to serve you a different type of cola. If I ask for a Coke and they don't serve it then I'm asked if Pepsi will be OK.
They're kidding, right? $99 to develop a game that only a handful of people might play, and as a student having no income. You could get a job though to pay the fee, but when would you have time to code? And what happens if you develop the next Geometry Wars? Do you own the rights to have it published or will Microsoft just pay you royalties (that probably wouldn't make you back your $99 either).
Here's a suggestion, set up a page on My Space with a link to, say, a File Planet for the binaries.
I'm quite worried about key loggers so I always enter my password incorrectly the first two times and then input it successfully the final time. This ensures that my password is as secure as possible.
More so if I screw up the last attempt and have to request a new password.
Another simple solution is to keep your password in a text file and copy / paste it in.
Or your password could just be ******* that would work a treat...
You can get in-sync audio by using alsa-oss. I'm sure if you Google around, you'll find the solution to your problem.

I still can't believe that God awful advert won the contest when the clear winner was Weeeee!
I'm not 100% sure if this will work but why don't you just cut your 64bit processor in half use dual core instead?

Given the quality of music us Brits seem to enjoy they should change to
Crazy Frog
ding ding dididing....
I really don't get downloading music. Sure it's cheap, but it's not at the bitrate or in the codec I want.
What form will this free music be in, 128k WMA?
and lots of social advertising.

I can finally grow myself a twin!
Oh wait, I already am one.
Quads it is then...
Coming from someone who doesn't even use Rockbox, that's quite an opinion you've got there.
Oh, by the way
Stop posting crap on Slashdot and get on with Blob And Conquer!
So long, and thanks for all the flakes
Computerworld tested that claim by repeatedly driving a Volkswagen Beetle
Shit, I own a 4x4.
Guess I'll wait for a sturdier model...
who put up Gravity Wars
Geometry Wars, sorry...
Seriously, this thing looks so much like an iPod it's ridiculous.
If Microsoft can threaten people who put up Gravity Wars clones then I think Apple should threaten Microsoft for creating an iPod clone.

There were going to prefix this with "My" but Tom sent them a Cease and Desist...
I've been waiting ages for this to download, now that it's on Slashdot we'll get more seeders!

Security! We have a terrorist mastermind in our midst! Get him!
If you see anyone acting suspiciously, security can walk up to them and ask
"terroristsayswhat?"
most of them will reply
"what?"
proving that they are a terrorist.
Bingo! A solution that's just as reliable as a lie detector test...

Xander: Willow, she's seventeen!

I'd never subject Blob and Conquer to this.
I'd wager just about the same price as an actual dvd of the movie itself.
They'll make very expensive coasters too if you're not careful when burning... I'll stick to HMV for the meantime.
