I was talking about sports in general, not just football. Being around people gives me something that I just don't get from multiplayer online gaming, and as I have a tendency to want to do well in games I avoid MMORPGs as they are way too much of a time sink. And all that time I could be doing something more positive for myself that makes me feel better about my life. Games for me are an escape, and an awesomely fun escape, but just that. At some point it is good to improve reality and sports (by way of comparison) can help there, not just with physiological improvements but with team sports there is the interaction with others too. We are social creatures and nothing replaces actually being with people. I wasn't think purely of going out jogging in freezing weather. And I definitely was not thinking of some crappy sport full of meatheads. Of which I am sure we can all think of a few examples. I haven't mentioned any other pasttimes as I was just making one comparison. I didn't want to get drawn further than that.
Indeed, but being late for work or.losing a relationship is not good. I know of people who have done this through both online gaming and sport. Which was my point. Enjoying it != there are no problems
Why would a sport involve a ball or a field? That you can't find anything worthwhile in meeting people is a shame. I like multiplayer gaming but I get more from being around people.
You see, this is the ultimate problem with MMORPGs. Like any game you work hard at it, and you are immersed - it's a little suspension of reality for you. Drawing on all manner of skills you can progress a long way, only to end up achieving something worth absolutely nothing to anyone except the people who play the game. I suppose it is a little like playing sport, except the richness of human interaction there is irreplaceable and fitness has huge physiological benefits.
The screen is nice but nothing special compared to other high end devices. Wireless charging...hardly worth buying a phone for. It is a massive lump though. It is not my choice for a Windows phone, let alone a smartphone. They all have flaws (I think most phones like the SGS3 are too big) and this one has its overall bulk. In my opinion.
MS have not made a good product. It absolutely not as good as iOS. No way. I will repeat that again - Windows phones are not as good as iPhones. One person I know got given a Lumia by MS at a conference. He used it, declared it not ready for prime time, and bought an iPhone 5. He would rather spend money on a decent device I have seen this with a number of Windows phone users. All anecdotal but having used it a bit too, I am inclined to agree. And I think Apple are a bunch of control-freaks and would not buy an iPhone for that reason But Windows phones are simply not "there" yet. Maybe next year?
Of course not. By the way, Windows 8 will be a success. Apple make some great hardware, no matter what you say about them. And Google are just cool. Also McDonalds do not make your kids fat. (Your kids make themselves fat by eating at McDonalds)
Just use something like Exact Audio Copy. It does all that for you. It is pretty good at mending issues with CDs and automatically uses accuraterip.comto check tracks. It'll tell you how many tracks were ripped "accurately" and, if none, it'll tell you that you may have a different pressing to the one in the database etc.

Well it is possible yes. You could be doing something necessary and important but choosing instead to spend your time playing EVE.

The Lumia 920 is a brick of a phone. Don't get one. Get another Windows device if you must but not a 920.
