    Well thats exactly what they're doing now, defining the rules and giving people a warning before it happened. I say bravo to the phone company for being honest and up front.

    As for Rogers cable as an ISP... if you have a freaking cap then tell your users!

    RTFA. :) At the time of sending he still had unlimited text messages for $6.95 a month. These messages were sent before they stopped the unlimited text messages.

    Now he'll only get 1000 text messages for $6.95 :)

    My phone has the ability to store messages... the article says he sent the same message repeatedly. It's a matter of two clicks on my phone to bring up the stored text message and send it. Rinse and repeat.

    But it's not based on the e-mail you recieve, it's based on mail you recieve and mail you archive. If you mark soemthing as spam, the adwords you see in the future won't search through the spam messages.

    It's not knee jerk.. I kind of understand it.

    The lawmakers are concerned about logging in to Gmail from a public area because someone around them may see the ads for 'cheap hooker now' and 'discount for bulk viagara purchase' ads generated after Gmail scans their archived e-mail.

    Napster ALSO offers the very same buy option for me if I want to own it.

    I wish that was the case and I could go with iTunes, but it's not. iTunes didn't support my cd burner and doesn't offer the subscription offer. So until iTunes shapes up, Napster will get my money.

    Because I like my job and spend much of my day attached to a desk. My employer (as all of them) does not allow P2P applications to be installed at work, nor would any person of a sane mind expect them to. The 9.95usd gets me a huge collection of songs to listen to, and I can go grab more anytime I want.

    Could I do this at home and bring them on CD? Sure, but I enjoy the convienience factor.

    a) Take a look at the selection of tracks available, Napster clearly beats them

    b) The unlimited download subscription is $9.95cdn (compared to $9.95USD for USA) which is kinda cool for canucks.

    thats probably the worst use of the cliche i've ever seen, you should be ashamed of yourself.

    In soviet russia, you could get a cheap knock off for 20 bux. Something like the C-C-C-Carrier R-R-R-Routing S-S-S-System. I'm sure you can find that on ebay.

    technically speaking as per the terms of service (usage agreement) you can't even choose to be the host in a two player online game because that is a service.

    However, ComCast also lives in the real world. While on paper they could make an argument, they're trying NOT to upset the technical folks in their customer base.

    I may be wrong, but I don't remember the original enterprise having a propellor. The article indicates that technology from that show may work in real life, but it's using old technology. cool to watch, but only for a slow friday night.

    I had 1kbps upstream for about a week... (although download was fine...) and when I called they insisted they didn't guarantee any upstream speed and had me go to a speedtest site which said everything was fine.

    Great, that site DOESN'T test upstream.

    Went to DSL reports and wow seems to be a problem.

    Lone story short, I had a cable modem for 7 years, i know when something is flaky like most people who read /.

    Took me an hour to convince them to send someone out, replaced the modem with same model and problem fixed.
