    I live in australia & all broadband is a pay per megabyte usage. Optus @home is the only broadband service that offers unlimited, but if you d/l more then 3 gig in a month.. your speed drops down to 5Kbps .. so its like dial up!
    & they call *us* the Lucky country!

    Since the IPid field is used only for fragment reassembly (see below), some Linux kernels use a constant 0 when emitting Path MTU discovery [5] packets, since they cannot be fragmented. Recent versions of OpenBSD and some versions of FreeBSD use a pseudo-random number generator for the IPid field. Some versions of Solaris use separate sequence number spaces for each _ source, destination, protocol _ triple, to avoid fragment collisions from busy hosts. All of these complicate (and to some extent block) the analysis.

    So its only the OTHER OS's which this can be done with, so it doesn't matter anyway. your ISP is screwed

    used to work in a call center for an armoured truck company. Management went from using pagers to send the guards messages to using SMS. SMS was alot more unreliable. Sometimes they wouldn't recieve messages for up to 6 hrs! so much for saving a few dollars! they ended up losing some large contracts cause of this.

    there's a fine line between humaitarianism and environmentalism. Reminds me of a story about a bunch of environmentalists that were protesting against forest backburning to prevent bush fires, because lots wildlife die from it. But what happens when there is a bushfire & all the wildlife die anyway... on a much greater scale.

    I know a lot of farmers in rural NSW in Australia that are suffering from drought wouldn't mind. Although i think it will become a bit like genetically modified crops, or pesticide. The 1st world countries that can afford the technology will get it, but the 3rd world will have to wait.

    1. your restricting fredom of speech
    2. "unsuitable for children" could have a broad meaning & used to restrict things of a political nature... or have it's meaning streched, much like the US's terrorism laws & hacking.
    3. how the hell are they going to police this?

    Also one interesting fact is that they say politicians don't respond or take much notice of email , so its suggested to write handwritten letters... now why would this be? maybe its because politicians have no clue when it comes to computers! so incompetent they can't even check their e-mail on a regular basis. It's a bloody outrage & i hope this bill isn't passed
