    This is actually pretty stupid considering the fact that in order to get this to work, you need to add more infrastructure to make it happen. And what IT department will go through all this trouble, when the business people it supports already have laptops/pdas/tablet pc's which have at least IR. If they have WiFi... most people in a Corp environment will have Network drives which they know how to use, and they be sharing files that way. This is a novel toy but i don't expect to see it any real corporation

    At RIT in the Computer Science House, we filled a fishtank with about 100 bottles of baby oil. Took apart a 486 and left the IDE cable and HD hanging off the side, while Mobo and everything else was submerged in the baby oil. Was fun. (5 yrs ago, btw).

    What is it about the Administrator account that is "not all powerful"? IIRC, There's nothing I can't do under local admin (to the local machine, ofcourse).

    In the long term, say 6-8 months, I find that alot of my burned disks become unreadable User Error me thinks. I have cds over 5 years old, some scratched to hell, and I can still read them perfectly fine.

    Verizon Wireless already offers wireless broadband. the technology is 1XEVDO (AKA "Broadband Access") and is avail. @$80/mo unlimited. They claim to be ast fast as cablemodems.... Haven't actually tried it yet.

    I still wish there was software you could install on the iPOD to make it act as a video drive. Hook it up directly to a miniDV camera via firewire and record video to it, rather than tape (or both)
