hey again... not trying to argue, but rdns doesn't show who owns the network.

different network, same building.
I do, however, agree w/ your other post regarding too many holes... I use a cell phone as my only phone, and have no problems w/ telemarketers... I do have a dial tone at my house, and just let a modem pick it up;)
(a) correct, I didn't mean to imply ownership:) only that they appeared not to have read the article, because... (b) it wasn't available at the time of the original article, therefore not a dupe, which, around here is *almost* worth arguing about;) (c) this I can definately agree with. I hadn't had my coffee yet is my only excuse, so I'm sorry if I came across flaming, but I would rather reply (even in haste) than mod down.
If you (and your mods) had RTFA, you would see that this is an extension to the original. It's even in the first paragraph on the page, "I've received a lot of emails about a project on my running for geeks web site, so I thought I'd show how I make high resolution maps of the places you jog, with the tracks overlaid on top." More appropriate for a slashback? Sure, but not a dupe (for once).
I just went to their site, and under the support link for the infringing product, they had this under the downloads section:
WL-122 Wireless Broadband router 100g+
Firmware Source code GPL
Note that these downloads are completely unnecessary unless you plan to do programming to alter the code.
Did they just add this? or was there more to it than just having source available?
Actually, I'm avoiding all of 'em since I auto-x in stock class. Which brings up another point about all the cool "on the fly" map changes; most aren't legal in competition (at least on turbo cars as the comp can alter boost). There are a couple of people that make non changeable ones... I think Cobb makes an STX legal map... Anyway, I'm sure this is boring as hell to all the people that don't race;)
Get a WRX and one of these. Then head on over to wrxhackers and grab a map that matches what you want, or make your own. It is just a serial port though, not USB, sorry:)
Ya know, thats funny and all, but it's pretty annoying to actually RTFA, paraphrase it, only to have it rejected, when a simple copy/paste gets accepted.
Yeah, yeah, I know, don't bitch about how stories are accepted, but having something that says "Pictured above" in a/. headline is just broken.
Grated, it doesn't do email, but it likes the newsgroups a lot.. Pan works better under linux for huge newsgroups, but can handle most of the binary ones under windows just fine.
It was modded as funny, not insightful (or inciteful, as you seem to have read it).
I mean, hell, I like nuke plants, and do have technical knowledge, don't own any pink clothes (and we won't even get the the dancing bit), and I *still* think it's funny.
EV1 is hardly a victim if, in order to find out what the hell was going on, all they had to do was look around. They (EV1) *knew* they were drinking the bad water, they just didn't care at the time. Now that the water has made them sick, they say, "Oh shit, maybe we shouldn't have done that."
I'm gonna agree with you, mostly, but (and there has to be a but;) I don't think that you just outa the blue one day decided, "Hey, I'm gonna edit movies!"
I'm certain that there was a learning curve, and for some of the higher end NLE's, it's pretty damn steep, and for me, "too much work." But then again, I've used Linux for a long damn time, and *to me* it's actually easier to set up a wireless card under Linux than a Mac(*). So, in the end, what "too much work" means is different for us; just because you are used to one way doesn't mean that different == useless.
And if you can afford 10k$ + 1.5k$ a year for Shake, give the Linux geek down the street a couple of hundred bucks to set up your cluster;)
(*) Granted it was a Proxim Skyline w/ crappy drivers.

That's because the page is *hosted* by AT&T.
Anyway, turn off javascript if it worries you... They are still gonna get your ip address of course, even w/o JS, so you can still be paranoid.
Don't need a big suit... I gotta rock that keeps tigers away, I'm sure I can modify it to work on bears.
Well, it depends on how evil the monkeys are.

You typed that much too fast... slow down and try again at 300 baud.

Hmmm... you don't don't *look* like Simon Cozens :)
I can't paste in the logs, but that was a link to them, and here is the info re: the implementation.
But, to answer your question, avg time was 5222806.6ms.
Huh, I'd always wondered where the saying, "If all you have is grass, everything looks like a Handrasenmaher" came from... now I know.

You forgot to add:
:)
overclocked AMD motherboard... which runs FreeVo 'cause TiVo sucks and is too expensive (and is dead anyway)
It is a rather slithy word. Makes me gyre and gimble just to think about it.
It has already been done... nfs server too (and other cool toys).
