Maybe you should consider screening for MCSDs instead of MCSEs? Just a thought...Software Developer seems like a better fit for a development position, but maybe that's just me.

Here's another perspective on "going out for a beer with the boss": some people won't like that because it can be construed as kissing up to the boss. You seem generally reasonable, so maybe that hasn't occurred to you. Also, if you want a computer person but disqualify pasty people, well.... :)

If you are out of the US for 330 days of a year working, up to $80k can be excluded from taxes. This doesn't count your standard exemptions and deductions, and there are a few restrictions. Look at section 911 of the US Tax Code. IRS prolly has some nifty, vaguely incomprehensible pamphlets on this.

Pistols have quite a bit of penetration through walls. A 9mm is more dangerous inside your house than a .223/5.56mm rifle, since the rifle round has less mass to it. Of course, the numbers swing back around as you get to heavier rifle bullets, so don't start shooting off 7.62mm in your house, use the CAR-15 instead for home defense. :)

Realistically though, it's simply easier to maneuver a handgun through more cramped spaces than it is a long gun of any sort, in addition to the concealability you mentioned.

You are missing the point. Some may end up being high dollar value later, but you have to compare that against the total value -- I.E., you spend $40 on item X that one day turns out worth something, but what about all the other items you collected for $lots and aren't worth anything. (sorta like how people remember gambling wins but not the losses as much -- if it truly paid out more than you paid in, casinos and the like wouldn't be in business real long.)
