I'll stick to using kobo itself instead of giving these jerks money. Now if somebody could make a decent e-reader at an ok price other thank Amazon that would be great.
If you have to understand the concepts anyways, why is text worse than a graphical set up? You can't really avoid learning syntax this way if you want to write anything actually complicated.
I for one don't welcome out robotic beta overlords In Soviet Russia users ignore corporate feedback Hot grits, petrified Natalie Portman, Cowboy Neal. Goatse is better than Beta.
You're planning on ruining the one good discussion site on the internet. fuck beta.
It sees more cases, so numerically there are more overturned. On average it's rulings are overturned about as often as any other circuit court in the country.
My dad bought a house on the edge of a cherry orchard, eventually Fairchild built a plant across the street and then promptly leaked solvent into the groundwater. My sister and several of her friends ended up with large amounts of settlement money due to possible health effects. The Santa Clara Valley was known as the valley of heart's delight and was world renowned for it's stone fruit, especially apricots. It was fun growing up surrounded by tech companies, on the other hand some of the world's best farmland is now fallow.
That's not true, the color comes from the same pigment astaxanthin. The amount in the feed determines the color and can be tailored by the farm. Admittedly farmed salmon is horrible and is a bit like raising lions for food...
If it's unproven, your insurance company isn't going to cover it, period. So these types of companies are emotionally extorting people by charging high fees in addition to using you as a guinea pig. If the treatment was given for free, as it usually is in proper medical trials it would be a different matter.
Because the average patient doesn't have the background to understand what they're getting themselves into. Without laws to the contrary snake oil salesman can claim whatever they want about a treatment or medication. Do you really want to live in the 19th century?
If it costs $45 for a 5 gallon batch you're probably selling extract beers with liquid yeast. As an all grain brewer who can yeast wash and buys hops in bulk I can knock out 5 gallons of APA for ~12-15 dollars.
Dude, that's the benefit of being a scientist. You get to wear Cosby sweaters or Hawaiian shirts and it's not only socially acceptable it's almost required.
Actually I'd be a little surprised if the nucleotides were different, current studies seem to suggest that the nucleotides had selective pressure. Here's a video that summarizes some current work on abiogenesis by Dr. Jack Szostak. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6QYDdgP9eg
Some of your gut microflora and fauna comes from your mom during the birthing process, others from breastfeeding and some from what you eat on a regular basis. This is interesting because the genes are transferred supposedly from the bugs living on seaweed to the bugs living in your gut, letting the same species of gut bugs to develop an ability to digest seaweed better.

I've been reading /. since '98, without the classic UI as an option you have lost me as a user. I will participate in the upcoming boycott.
Jesus, I've been coming here since '99. I won't come back if beta is pushed on me.

We're actually not doing too badly, we have higher income inequality and more poor people but we educate those poor people better than most countries.

You can't seriously investigate intelligent design, it's not science. Any sane university should run anyone who thinks it is out on a rail.
No, those are different species by at least most of the definitions of the word.

Seriously, I could've guessed this after reading this
http://www.amazon.com/Watching-English-Hidden-Rules-Behaviour/dp/0340818867
This is essentially a birdwatching guide fort the English, which the author finds horrifying, but there it is.
For somebody falling to the ground clutching their leg long enough to get a card thrown?
