But what of the new theory that both hemispheres have similar levels of intelligence?
The total intelligence of the northern hemisphere is roughly equalled by the total of the southern hemisphere. Therefore as there are many fewer people down south, they must be of a (much) higher average intelligence.

You mean like Harper in Andromeda?
That's probably a grown up Wesley: creativly saving the day; building his own robots; getting into trouble for silly money making ventures.
There's also the swashbuckling captain, talking computers, alien crew with hidden agenda, others whom once were enemy serving alongside you.
Wasn't that originally going to be set within the Star-Trek Universe - It is "Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda" after all.

Can we have a new mod option +1 Jealous.
I'd mod you twice, one for the fact you can get a 10Mbit connection - unheard of speeds for people in Australia. I'd give you a 2nd one for only $50/m - here that can get you 512k adsl.
And there are now more Americans alive than there ever have been before.
Did he get a higher percentage of the population voting for him than other people though.
Otherwise it's a lot like the recent Australian elections - choosing the lesser of two evils.
And I hear on the news that the UK elections are coming up, so I guess that will be the main topic on the tv now that the US elections are basically out of the way.
You should try dealing with some of the finance software here in Australia.
Some of them write put dll and ini files in system32, some in their app dir. We recently even stopped using one that was a DOS application as it wasn't needed by us for up-to-date information - but it is still sold.
Others will happily write dll's over the top of older ones, even after we've told the company that this happens, the next release wll still break our systems, and have to be re-done manually. *cough* Cafe software from Commonwealth Bank *cough*
Then there is their web sites that the firewall blocks because their web-programmers couldn't be bothered writing sites that adhere to http related rfc's.
That won't help half the time as the web server is often a smoking mess.
Perhaps a wikipedia link would be helpful.
Often we've just got to start reading the article to see if it could be interesting, because you don't understand the topic - and by then you're hooked and must read till the end.
They might not keep an archive of the pics, but your browser should have if you've kept the page open.
With IE, Use a program like ztree to get a list of all the mshvolcanocam.jpg files across the directories that are the cache in IE, or just view the individual directory in thumbnail mode.
WIth Firefox I'm not that sure as it keeps your cache organised differently. Though I'm sure that someone by now has written a program or plug-in to do what you are asking. Sometimes the files there appear to be images, just with obscure file names.
I'm 35, hence it appears that I am now winning the current contest, but is that a good thing. I did go on a date about 12 years ago, not since.
I am generally content in my singleness, sure it frustrates me sometimes when invited to parties or weddings, and I turn up on my own.
I have some close friends that I can share problems and fun times with - I have another male friend who is 32 and single, and so I'm not alone in all things - a friend who understands is a great thing.
But I am free to basically do what I like. if I want to go to the late session of the movies, stay up all night playing doom3, stay in my pajamas till 1pm, work late. Get dinner on the way home, or take 4 hours to make a nice dinner - then I am able to do them with no problems.
Was talking with a group a while ago, and I was the only single person amongst 10 others - they were all in long term relationships - some of them missed the freedom of singleness, but said that deep intimate conversations would be something they would miss if they became single again.
My friends know that if they need help doing things, that I am available and willing to assist.
Like some others has said, I also do not like talking about my feelings to someone whom I'd like to have as an SO, but it can be freeing to get them out in the open. I am in two minds about the telling people how you feel about them - When I've done it things then seem to go to worse. I appear to be cursed or blessed (depending on if you are me or someone I like). For nearly everyone that I have ever had a crush on; that have found out that I like them - the next person that they meet often ends up marrying them within a year - been like that since I finished uni in '92. I tell people that if they want to get married, to hang around me, and if I start having feelings for them, then they are soon to be married.:-)
I don't think that I have any underlying social problems other than being a little shy; but that doesn't hold me back from traveling overseas, going on many church camps, meeting strangers, and having good friends from both sexes - if anything I'm probably too much of a nice guy. Sure I'm a geek too, and I have geeky friends, but also many normal friends too. I'm active, healthy, enjoy going out and having fun with friends
I do enjoy being single, my relationship with my parents and brother is better than nearly everyone else that I know, and I have the freedoms to be myself. I also know that I would be prepared to change if some lady out there decided that I was the right guy for her.

Well then I don't know what my computer has been running since yesterday then.
SP2 for me has already been downloaded and installed as part of Automatic Updates. It took a while amongst the other downloads though.
Well then Microsoft, as well as releasing the update software for those that will run it.
Create an e-mail message that utilises one of the probably still undiscovered exploits (but MS knows of) in Outlook/Outlook Express/IE/98/2000/XP that causes the computer to run the patch in the background, just like windows update can. Or get the spyware authors to modify their applications to run windows update in the background.
Just patch the machine for the people that won't do it themselves.
We can do our part ourselves. Create an e-mail message with just click here http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ for software that will make your computer run faster, give you more colours/sounds/smilies for your e-mails, adjust your clock, hide your porn.
It's been at least 12 years since I wan at uni, but I remember that when purging old versions of your files you could tell the delete command how many versions to keep.
eg. keep the current plus the previous version, but delete the rest.
The audio and video quality of adverts is probably better than that of the program that you are really watching.
Maybe someone can with come up with an addition to a PVR along the lines of "Dragon Dictate PVR Add Detection", that decodes the speech in the audio track to both add subtitles as well as looking for words like: sale; cheap; buy now; exdended; last days, and just drop those recordings sessions.
No, it's just that your stomach isn't used to proper (better) food than the trash that you've been eating to get you through the day. And the headache is likely from caffeine withdrawal.
On the other hand - like some people have explained. There's a possibility that it could be alcohol related - moreso if you can't remember the previous night's activities.
There are some people though, who take pride in their work (I'm one of them). I will re-read a post, and providing I don't find any spelling or glaring grammar errors - will then, and not before hit the submit button.
It's too easy for people to look up my writings on the internet with just knowing my name or nickname.
I did not really enjoy high school English, though I gained was a respect for the rules that we have in place. I for one don't like the unnecessary abbreviations and leet-speak that is encroaching on our language.
# Lastly the 'vanes' needed to control the crowbars course require unobtanium coatings to prevent them from being melted by re-entry heat. (If they aren't exposed to the plasma stream, they can't affect the course of the projectile
Is re-entry heat going to be that big a problem really? The massive heat shielding that space craft have is mainly to slow their orbital velocity down to the same as the earth underneath them so they don't leave a big crater, whereas a projectle dropped from orbit will probably just drop through the atmosphere in an aerodynamic shape.
I would probably just ignore a message like 'We've detected you're not using a standards-compliant browser' in exactly the same way I ignore the messages about my system time not being accurate.
Maybe a message like 'This page has more functions available with the newer browser Firefox, available from here'. Would work with the crowd that use the 'extra features' availale in incredimail, browser buddy and the like.
Some company peobably has a patent out on that name or action.
I also see that the linked page is up for deletion.

I agree with that statement.
Well I would, I made it.
But it is a good premise to start from hey?
Anyone?
I've seen it occasionally with my company, but not since XP SP2.
Fixed it with just pressing the shift, control, alt, caps, windows keys.
It often is just like the old shift-lock from a typewriter, but on one of the other keys.

Shouldn't you have got a worm/virus when you connected to the internet after step 29. - that's what I'd been led to believe.
Actually you're right - just checked again.
I know unix doesn't use it, maybe that's what I was thinking - I only have to use our linus system here occasionally, I just keeps going.
Though they've taken out 'cd..' since now you have to do it properly with a space character 'cd ..'.

While that might be correct, I much prefer the acronym that we found while at uni learning COBOL.
