Hmm...no, I don't think the GP is missing anything. All of your concerns are assuaged by the fact that you can completely avoid Apple when buying music online. Just don't do business with them. This is really disturbing that the EU is trying to legislate what amounts to luxury goods and services, in light of all the other problems in the world.
Way, way, way wrong...the GPL is a license to redistribute the source code under certain conditions. It says nothing and has nothing to do with the use of the code.
OK, so let's say I'm able to get OS X to authenticate against my Windows 2000 Active Directory...will Outlook 2003 have any trouble connecting to our Exchange server, or is that something completely unrelated? I realize that Entourage exists (I have Office for Windows & Mac), but let's say that I would prefer to use Outlook 2003 for add-in support.
For those not in the know, Zeta-os.com is/was the successor developer to YellowTab, which was developing a new operating system based on the old BeOS code. Now, zeta-os.com (or at least a part of it) has been reduced to a phishing site. *sigh*
I have not RTFA. I'm wondering if Warner Home Video will lay the hammer down on me if I want to watch Red Dwarf in this manner...being in the U.S. and Warner Home Video being the U.S. distributor of many BBC programs.
You maintain a monopoly by making threats to your OEMs. Hitachi, among others, was ready to add BeOS to their list of available OS's until Microsoft threatened them with retaliation (raising the price of Windows to the OEM).
Dada21 was in rare form a couple days ago on a thread whose topic I currently forget. In the last several months, he's taken a slide into crazyland with his political and philosophical rants.
"The only major restrictions found in iTunes are on burning audio CDs with protected tracks (5 times)..."
It is actually unlimited burning. But 5 times per a given playlist. So, you alter the playlist and alter it back and you're good to go again. The fact that we even have to clarify these things among ourselves is another problem with DRM.
No, you can't have a pony.
( -|-|~ Not yours)
Am I the only one who the only one who thought TFA was about a bisexual space alien rock star?
9 years, thank you very much!
You clearly might be able to "vaguely expect" something. That's possibly obvious to almost everyone!
Your use of the open-mouth smiley indicates you desire otherwise.
There is such a thing as retractable cables. Pull it out of the armrest or seat...press a button and it pops back in.
You have the source code for your BIOS?

OLPC: Overtly lustful pedophiles, celebrate!
That's because I truncated the full URL. You have to follow the link in the article to get the whole thing.
Oh, and thanks for modding my little emotional episode as funny, you bastards.
Here is one of the last entries on the Google blacklist:

If this somehow involves a vacuum chamber, then I'm all for it.
So, Mel Gibson will be rounding out the cast then? Window seat, please.

What do you expect from a nation whose language has no translation for the word "fluffy?"

"Technically thats only one problem, but it was such a big one I thought I would point it out twice."
Thank you, Kryten. There, you were just waiting for someone to say that, weren't you!
