They probably DON'T need all 300, and my guess is they could continue to run both rovers on the reduced budget. Saying that they might have to suspend operations on the rover that's already in hibernate mode is just clever PR to get public pressure to restore funding moving.
I have it on a few machines. For what it's worth I like it just fine. I seem to be one of the few people here though who don't treat their OS of choice as a religion. I have Macs, PC's with Linux, PC's with various Windows verisons. I like them all for various different reasons.
Vista is fine on a modern machine with good system resources. Don't buy into all the FUD. Compared to when it was first released it's gotten far better even for gaming as drivers have matured.
No, censorship is performed by a censor, someone empowered (by Government) to peform said censorship. There is no legal restriction in this case; it's just a business making an ill advised (in my opinion) decision not to host certain material.
I do not think censorship means what you think it means.
Scientists Claim there is a direct correlation b/w pot smokers and an amazing talent to link string theory with life on mars
That was based on a misquote. The original conversation was 'Dude...do you think they have string cheese on Mars...like that would be so coool. Pass the Doritos?'
I'm by no means a McCain lover, but one thing I really respect is that he seems to walk the walk with regards to spending. He has taken zero dollars in 'earmarks' and I think I believe what he says when he talks about vetoing earmark laden bills.
It's a bit like "For years I used to love Quarter Pounders, then I switched to Big Macs and found that I liked them. Recently I started to eat Quarter Pounders again, but switched right back to Big Macs. Does this mean that the Big Mac is better?"
It's crazy what passes for front page news here these days.
I was thinking the same thing. I've always prefered the blue used in VW's to the red used in many other cars. I do a lot of night driving, so maybe my subconscious somehow knew and hence prefered the blue.
From the article: "It would allow downloading of any song at any time so long as the purchaser still owns the device, and the songs would be yours to keep."
If they are really yours to keep then I'm not sure it's such a bad deal. At the very least it's just another choice people have.
I'd rather just have software that lets me do the same thing on my laptop. Why would I want to carry yet another device? I love my Motorola Q but if I wanted to use it in this manner I'd figure out a way to use it with my laptop, which I have to carry with me on business anyways.
Studies that make these kinds of leaps are generally BS. It could be that the scientists who don't drink AT ALL are the type AA driven types who don't socialize much at all. Or it could be that the ones who like to go drink are lazy. Or it could be some unknown effect of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. The point you make is spot on; the researches need to take a better look at possible causation and not jump to conclusions.
Seeing as you can go to just about any library and get the necessary information to build an even more modern and refined device these days without even using the Internet (just from books), then yes you might be the only one who thinks that way.
Please stop with the 'genocide' crap. The US has made plenty of mistakes but the last thing even close to genocide we committed was against Native Americans in the 19th century. Disagree with the current wars all you want, but let's stop it with the hyperbole.
So you are telling us that a lawyer gives a rats ass about our rights? Sorry but I'll believe it when I see it. Most politicians study law so they can abuse our rights, not preserve them.
When used properly with *warrants*, wiretapping is an important law enforcement tool. Don't go confusing bad behavior by the Government with necessary law enforcement tools.
The capability is needed, but so is proper oversight and protection of Consitutional rights. Then again all you wanted was to squeeze in your Obama ad;)

i heard a rumor that you bottom for him.
Jealousy is so ugly. Please keep your love triangles off of this family friendly forum.

The only similarity is the blind fanaticism shown by Apple fanbois. Other than that I agree, it's a silly comparison to make.
Consoles will have similar graphics and sound capabilities to PC's for about six months to a year. Neither platform is going to go away anytime soon.
Using the electrical tape will be classed as theft
No, they'll call it vandalism or put something in their TOS that says covering up the camera isn't allowed.

Interesting.
It's working just fine for me. Many minor performance nuisances have vanished on more than one machine.

I always thought that if the entire .NET framework were pictorially represented it would open the Seven Seals and be the harbinger of the Apocalypse.
Oh hai. I'm in ur study stealin ur cawz n fect.

It has long term effects on brain chemistry. That being said, I'd like to see a citation for this effect.
Nope, there are a few more of us. I use various OSes for various things. Vista is not all that bad on a machine with sufficient power.
If something is worth doing then it is worth doing correctly. Sadly that fact is lost on most of the unwashed masses that populate the Internet.

I disagree. If you were correct we would have put Muslims in camps by now. We haven't, and I'm thankful for that.
