Hey, that what we need, is a virus that kills all life. I can see it now, when aliens visit this planet millions of years later there is nothing left but the virus.
I simple can't believe that these machines have no paper print out. What happens if there is a recount? What happines if one of the machines does out?
My wife works the polls every year and the card punch system is MUCH better in my view. I am a liberal democrate and I hate the way the last election went, but I hated hearing Democrates complaining about the card punch system.
As a voter you simple have to be responsable for your OWN ballet. How can I be responsible for my ballet when it simply spills into a flash rom some where?
Well at the least they employ a lot of people, but the kind of side benifits are quite inovation, but rather bring things into the main stream, reducing cost of manufacture.
The things that they realy inovate are releasted directly to space, rocket engines, health monitors, fuel cells, etc...
I hate to say it againg but it is money, not goals. I just don't understand why the goverment doesn't spend more on space exporation. Every dollar pays off 10-20 times on economic growth.
If every branch of the goverment paid of like that, we wouldn't have any problems.
And we will have a base on, the moon, mars, heck I bet we could even go to Jupiter. They can plan all the want, it takes MONEY to realy build something.
I am in favor of sending machines, dumping the shuttle, etc.... But it is all meanless unless we get a president that wants to actually spend MONEY on the space program.
Kennidy, wanted to and did. Reagan chalanged, but only spent on SDI (What a waste!)
I have heard time and time again, that just plain old rockets can be made a lot cheaper then the "money whole" space shuttle. In fact I heard a congressman ask this question of the Nasa head. And the response was, "Well hold on lets fix the shuttle before we talk about something new".
At some point you need to walk away. There where 5 saturns left over and Nasa just cut them into scrap because they wanted the "to low to slow" shuttle.
My question is this, sense I am NOT a rocket scientist, just ask my wife. Is it true? Can you make plain old rockets that cheap and beable to life 50 or 100+ tons into high orbit?
Whe I worked as a software Engineer for a small manufacturing company, many of the Electrical Engineers had many many problems relating to exposure to chemicals.
One had an enlarged liver, another had a nerveous dis-order. There was cancer. I think it stems from an over all lack of knowledge of hazordous chemicals.
When I worked there OSHA (Sp.?) had done a lot to make things better. A LOT of chemicals where removed and cleaned up. I was still nerveous about standing next to a pot of molten solder, etc.
When I was in highschool we where tasked with building a culture and actually burying it in the ground. (We had to dig up the preveous years culture). I have heard this was pretty populare at the time (late 70's).
I talked the class into building a tolkien elvin culture, and I built a Calander, and potery with elvish script. I am so glad I am not the only nerd around.
You go sun! Reload again, we can take it.
Has any one else heard of a restuarant in NY that is selling dishes with tobacco in them? I thought I heard an NPR artical to that effect once.
Sounds YUMMY!

Actually I was not thinking the cow to be the artist, of course it is the "music industry", which would include the artist.
Isn't the artest a very small percentage of the music industry is a whole? Something like 5% in dollars?
I do under stand your point though.
Hmmm... Doubt it will help much. Why buy the cow when the milk is free?
