  2. I had someone from SUSE, Sweden calling me. Didn't answer the first two times because they had inserted my own number as the one calling, so I didn't bother answer. The third time I answered and suggested that it wasn't really a good method to build trust when trying to sell me something.

  3. It seems like that if robocalls are a problem, it is too easy to get access to the phone network without anyone to hold accountable?

    Also, it seems like a phone number is becoming more and more irrelevant these days. It's more like a node number, an IP address for your device. :D

    I was wondering why there were so many people on in the forest. On the trail, I met other people on bikes, people on horses and even some were even walking. 2/3 around the trail however, people seemed to had vanished. I guess they got reconnected to the mothership. :)

  6. Thanks. I was certainly not trolling. I have travelled to small communities in the US and heard about their problems and feelings towards Walmart. (And a bit of laughter when some other tourists wasn’t exactly getting the most friendly advice when asking directions to the nearest Walmart :D)

  10. It seems that in most live streams with political topic, it is just spammy crap that isn't really worth your time. It's not even clever trolling, just noise really.

  12. I used Viber a bit when traveling, a some point I started to get spammy messages so I ended up deleting it. Currently on WhatsApp. I don't really care about which app it is, as long as it is spam free and it's what the people I talk to use.
    I have zero use for a "local" number. Maybe if I was running a business and I had to have a "number".

    I tried to watch some standup comedy on Netflix before I canceled my subscription. It was all very predictable and boring and safe. No one dares to say anything provoking any more.
    And most of the TV shows seems awful predictable as well.
    Well, there's not a shortage of things to do in the course of a day so it is not a great loss. :D

    Yeah, but that is just the domain name. If you already have the servers, bandwidth, experience, it's a new domain name and front end interface.

    I have been watching cat videos on YouTube for 10 years now and it has been a good run. But not they have stated to show the odd dog video now and then.
    Thatâ(TM)s extremely offensive and now I am afraid to open the browser because with no warning what so ever, BANG, there it is. A DOG video in my recommended feed.

    I did manage to find a script somewhere that I ran before I closed my Facebook account, but I am guessing that Facebook never actually deletes anything you have posted. The article also suggests that.

  20. In today’s world, deleting old posts seems like a good idea. The concept of people having aged or learned something in the time span of 10 years since they posted something, seems to be lost on the loudest voices.

    I hoped they could fix the problem so I didn’t have to fix it myself. Clearly I was wrong.
    I retrospect I also remember that I paid to have my disc brakes in back cleaned as I hadn’t been doing any track days for a while and they hadn’t been exercised enough. When I switched the tires two days later the metal rims that were on the car was rusted and completely stuck. They clearly hadn’t removed them to clean anything.
    Blah. Guess I learned my lesson the expensive way.

    True. but it is easier finding the error if you have the right interface and software.
    After having my type-r at the official dealer 3 times and $2000 later without them actually being able to fix my ac which only worked for 10 minutes after starting the car, I managed to diagnose it in 20 minutes using the repair manual and a the official interface and software myself. (Worm down clutch basic really)
    I wonder how long it would have taken them not to fix it. I gave he idiots a detailed description and asked them to drive it for 20 minutes afterwards to test it out.
    Iâ(TM)ll just leave the name here for google to index. It was Henrik Larsen Automobiler now called P. Christensen. Overpriced wankers.

    At least before you got the feeling that you bought a premium product. Now other laptop manufacturers are building solid products and Apple keeps raising the price and lowering the quality.

    OS X and macs clearly isnâ(TM)t something they care much about anymore, they just want to milk it for what they can until their reputation of selling overpriced crap.
    I tried building a hackintosh but then I realised that what I liked about my mac was that I didnâ(TM)t have to deal with drivers updates, configurations etc. Iâ(TM)ll keep my iMac running as long as I can for fcpx and then Iâ(TM)ll have to figure out what to do.
