I suspect YMMV here; for me it was just the opposite. Giant Antispy removed a number of things that spybot and AdAware either didn't detect or couldn't remove completely.
I am admittedly a scotch newbie but right now I'm really enjoying McClelland's Islay single malt (Which is inf act, a 5 year old malt from Bowmore) ---it's fiarly cheap as scotch goes, but yummy, at least to my inexperienced palate.
I meant with the iPod software. Last time I checked there were a few issues, one being a consistently corrupted file on the pod (forget what that file did, though, not anything critical)
Podcasting is primarily directed at NPR style ranting and things of that nature, however some streaming music sites (di.fm and others) offer podcasts so you can listen to their playlist or their style of music on the go (and not just a few songs, more like a few hours)
Most people wouldn't. The point is, why work from the office when you can work from the park?..or a coffee shop?..or _anywhere_ in the city of Orlando?
Cause working around a bunch of randomly conversing people and other distractions means your productivity is likely going to go through the floor.
Not true. Any geek should be able to build a higher quality system than Dell.
But cheaper? Not a chance. Even if by some great act of sale-exploiting you can build the computer for the same price, you'll be using worse quality parts than Dell does, and won't have the software you get with the Dell
My german professor once mentioned that you could go to the consulate of the country in question and get reimbursed for some or all of your taxes (assuming you have reciepts)
Anyone who travels know if this is the case? it seemed odd to me considerting that while you're there you're using all sorts of public works (which are of course tax funded) so why would you get it back...
The money gets paid into your school account. The school either uses all that money and sends you a bill for more, OR cuts you a check for what's left over after your tuition and housing and misc expenses have been paid.
So what you do is make sure you take out enough loans/financial aid to cover your tuition plus enough to live on for the semester (or less if you have work lined up, that's up to you)
How many net cafes really let you boot an unknown operating system on their computers from a CD? Damned if I would, that's a huge security risk in itself
Ad-Aware is fairly (IMHO) misleading in that it flags cookies with the same designation as spyware items. It's possible that a machine could have thousands of hits but no actual spyware programs running on it due to an excess of cookies (from people logging onto this and that through the duration of the web cafe's existence)
For things such as home brewing where the fermetning beer needs to be kept under 70 degrees this could make a good solution, one could easily cool a closet or other small room to the acceptable temperature
I love campusfoods but here in the charlotte university area it seems there's hardly any delivery places (Dominos and 2 other pizza joints last time i looked) that are set up with them. The one time I have used their service I was quite satisfied, but I wish they'd add more restaurants.
In some cultures of human beings, it's considered indecent if one is not pierced.
"In some places they do things this way" is not a valid arguement. We are not in that culture, therefore its customs really don't matter. If we WERE in that culture, the arguement wouldn't be taking place. Why bring it up?
If I was hiring coders, designers or marketers I think that piercings and outrageous tats would be s sign of 'out of the box' thinking
I'm curious- and my question is due to knowing pierced and inked individuals who had their work done for drastically different reasons:
How can (or could) you distinguish between someone who's body mods indicate their 'out of the box' thinking, as you said, and someone who had them done for no other reason than counter the status quo or 'rebell'
--I'd guess that kind of attitude would show up in other aspects of an interview, but i guess that's my point:
considering the different motivations for getting body mods, some of which could be really detrimental to any kind of corporate culture, i'm wondering why you consider body mods in particular an indicator of 'different' thinking rather than say, dress, mannerism or some other aspect

Just thought i'd share
It does "affect" my iPod, however it still works, aside from loss of settings when it goes to sleep, so I don't really have the bug info memorized.

It's right here though, if you care to look

Hopefully they fixed some acutal bugs instead of just adding podcast support
You can get alcohol at CVS?

Perhaps I just havent found any good groups, but thus far I've had abysmal luck getting anyone to post anything I request on Usenet.
You are correct sir. Windows and Office were mainly what I was thinking of.
Doesn't matter. You buy a dell, you paid for it whether you use it or not.

....that was horrible. :D

It depends. Pell grants arent paid back, but by the same token they generally aren't for that large an amount.

My engineering profs turned this into an improtant object lesson: in engineering, never ever trust the numbers someone else gives you.

Plenty of engineering textbooks go for around $120-150 (If you're lucky they're good for more than one class though)
