    when my dad was in highschool he and his brother snuck into the chem lab and ended up dumping a jar of Hg all over the floor. Hard wood floors, so it was impossible to totally clean up

    Funny that, how no one seems to remember that a clearly mapped and labeled GIANT minefield is the only thing which is keeping next years maps from having to revise the korean peninsula borders.

    Depends on the lighting situation and the monitor--sometimes I can notice the flicker before I start to feel bad, sometimes not. If i'm gaming for example I won't notice (no flat light patches to see flicker on) until i start to feel ill.

    I have astigmatism as well

    My system is set to refresh at 85hz. If a game dies ungracefully or video card drivers update and the refresh rate drops back to default 60, I notice it within an hour of reading text on the screen in the form of headaches and nausea. Turn the refresh back up and all is well

    First World of Warcraft goes open beta, and their servers spectacularly cant handle the response, now Steam dies.

    Can't someone overestimate demand for their server-based game just ONCE?

    Explain to me then why BT grinds my LAN to a halt, while at the same time reporting download speeds BARELY 10% of the network capacity (100mbit LAN btw)

    And, i'm not trolling. thats a serious question, it happens. When at gaming sessions we know when someone's bittorrenting because things start to grind, regardless of how much the person running BT is actually downloading

    I agree with you about the broadband firmware, but you would probably also find that the most "secure" routers are also the ones behind which it is the gretest hassle to play games, use p2p apps and various other direct-connect items, therefore its usablity to the average user is less.

    Concur. I have friends who are walmart associates, and they say that management is absolutely facist about hours (funny thing is that even though the point is the same one guy enjoys working there the other people hate it with a passion. One's a lead CSM, the others are blue-vests..go figure)

    All the wind which is going to matter a damn to any animal or plant on the ground is going to be occuring within those 100 meters. Windmill farms will disrupt that JUST the way forests and buildings do
