No one's saying that the right to a recount isn't necessary. The point is that if there's not a clear reason for a recount (either a close race or shady things going on) then there is NO reason to do this other than being a poor loser and insisting on dragging things out and wasting time and money
It's an excellent disk, definitely worth getting. For the most part the tracks are good though some drag and one is LONG, they're good overall. My only complaint was that my favorite song (FF III(us) battle music) wasn't really turned into anything interesting, just slowed down some. Still reccomend it though, and i'm excited to hear there's a second album coming out
Disclaimer: My mother is a speech pathologist (in a nutshell her job is teaching kids to talk who cant for various reasons)
She's come across several (and I myself at my workplace) children who were taught from the get-go spanish and english side by side. (Due to parents reading that teaching a child a second language will make it a genius or some such)
Result? at 2 or 3 years of age the child knows some english, some spanish, neither one as well as would be normal for the age, and cant differentiate between the two languages (ie, speaks in a mixture of both depending on which words come to mind)
I've got no problem with languages, and I do think children should be taught at least one, however from my experiences and reading it seems like one should at least hold off until the kid has a solid grasp on a primary language to start in on a second one.
Could someone well versed in linguistics comment on this? It could be just my location (backwoods, basically) and a string of people who havent implemented teaching 2 languages in a method that would avoid the scenario i described
Just like you can afford to knowingly break the law when you download MP3s. The odds of being caught are about the same, for a small time computer shop.
Wonder how many shops are reinstalling computers with XP Corp because the owner doesn't have / lost the original media and the computer had to be formatted. Telling them they're gonna have to shell out another hundred bucks for an OS is NOT a way to keep them happy
It's a vicious circle. Freenet and MUTE dont catch on because there's not a lot of content. There's not alot of content because not many people use it, etc...
Why would it be illegal to attempt to keep clueless people from messing with delicate parts? If those stickers weren't there I guarantee you more people would be poking around inside their computer (and subsequently breaking things, which increases Dell's overhead)
Most (all?) ready built computers come with a sticker over the case that clearly says you void the mfr warranty if you break it. Problem is as you said, if you want to expand. Best buy told my father "Just bring it back here instead of emachines" but of course he didnt buy the extended warranty (all we needed to open it for was to upgrade the ram) so if it breaks he's SOL.
I honestly don't see how Costco copes with its lenient return policy. The number of returns, esp on software that are just "Bought it, burned it, returned it" or "bough it, fucked it up, returned it" have to be astronomical
No, it's like confiscating the property on which there was a crackhouse, sealing the house and putting "we know who you are" posters on the doors for all the junkies to see. Just done a bit more cleverly
They're also problems they likely wouldn't have had if their windows machines had been set up properly (and then locked down so users couldnt futz with things)
IIRC there are already a few sites that detect Fx and attempt to install rogue XPI files the same way as ActiveX...is this not the same (or very similar) to the exttension security risk you propose?
All my family's cats are adopted. 3500 bucks would pay for my allergy medicine (not just to cat dander) for...a while. Probably longer than the lifetime of the cat.

IIRC hasn't Kerry stated that if he loses then he will in fact start a repat of last election's recount antics?

I second the other guy. Enlighten us about your sig
Because trying to destroy the opposition to your favorite operating system fairly well qualifies one as a zelaot.
It has nothing to do with the differeing belief and everythign to do with his views of people who hold a differing belief

Not every store has the luxury of being able to afford to turn away customers.
Also consider this:

Because if the group doing the integrating decides you dont need it, you dont get it.
It's making me jealous, who's lamer ;p
Right, forgot costco was membership only (there aren't any in this area I don't think)

"Top loading" model NES and a copy of Final Fantasy 1 sealed in box =D
Only way they could have a harder time coming up with something is if you just asked for a shitty game that never had many copies made

Rich.
Cheers, forgot about that =)

Yes.
It's got alot to do with validating a 300+ dollar personal music player to yourself and then seeing something better come out.
