  1. Microsoft gets away with new versions very 6 mos. on Windows 10's Next Update Will Be Called 'Spring Creators Update' (theverge.com) · · Score: 1

Remember how we all go excited when Microsoft said 10 would be an OS that got updates forever? Well, each of these "Creators Updates" are actually like full version of the OS than an "update". Basically, Microsoft is using almost the same process as when they made a major release (like moving from Windows 7 to 8 to 10). Just ask any Sys Admin.

    Tomorrow:

Let's break up the jumbo eternal company... you know companies like Amazon, because they were never a startup.

    Sheesh... professor of what?

The fact that those big companies didn't exist and now exist prove the "professor" wrong. He's wrong about what he said, and I don't think he understands capitalism at all. What is he teaching???

gods? Really? Amazed. People will ditch these "gods" (I even hate to use his word here) for new "gods", they always do... oddly enough, that's closer to capitalism, which I"m just going to say it, clearly he's against it.

  7. Well, actually I suspect something more "evil". This is a big money loser, to the point of not even being effective long term. As for why Microsoft is really doing this, well, we probably won't figure that out without a bit of help. But I can pretty much guarantee you there is nothing altruistic about this. It can't be about helping students or helping the poor, it's about "something" though, just not sure.

You may have forgotten about just how fast things use to be. Sure, there are those rare times when you need something more dynamic, but very rare nowadays.

I, like many others, run Noscript. I enable javascript, often times just temporarily for my session, as I need to.

Note: Many times I enable javascript just to view a very slow loading page that could have said the exact same thing, just as "pretty", without the pain and would have been 100x faster. Efficiency is a lost art.
