It's quite likely that I'm the only person here in this hick town that could understand most of the words in that article. I really can't wait until D3 comes out and all the idiots around here wonder why it won't run on a P200 MMX with an ATI Rage Pro. The same sort of thing happened with UT2003, and it's really enjoyable to tell people that I have a GeForce3 with 64 MB of memory, but I'm thinking about upgrading soon, and they go "HOLY SHIT! Why would you need to upgrade?!"

Ah, Wisconsin... Now if you'll excuse me, it is time for another dose of cheese.

Well, I really feel bad that you don't like the drivers. I think they're great. I still think that even if they are unstable, driver support for one of the most popular brand of cards on the market will help Linux more than it could possibly hurt it.

nVidia takes the time and effort to develop something for a free operating system that, right now, has very little effect on their sales. They could drop driver support for Linux without any major backlash (especially if people like you insist that the drivers are irrelevant). I applaud their work.

You're a very good troll... you got me to bite. I just have to say that this attitude about nVidia on Slashdot is really annoying me. You think the Linux drivers are unstable? Well, they don't have exist at all, you know. nVidia could just pull them off their site any time they wish. Supporting Linux by developing these drivers, no matter that they are closed source or "unstable" (I have had zero issues with them), it will help push Linux as a gaming platform and a desktop OS. Isn't that what we all want?

However, as far as the RTS genre goes, Blizzard knows what they are doing. Blizzard is one of the ONLY companies that actually can create RTS missions which don't bore me to death. I trust this xpack will be excellent.

I am typing this post with a device that is installed in my brain. It's wireless, and can be transmitted on to your Web site with relative ease.

We're also very good at making sure the only people that ever see any really substantial evidence (in the rare event that one of us screws up and leaves some) are judged as insane.

It seems to me that, for some reason, scientists are unwilling to accept the possibility that life can exist in places that don't appear to "habitable" based on the examples of life found on this planet, Earth. For example, recently it was mentioned that the Venusian atmosphere may contain bacterial life of some sort, due to the presence of certain gases that simply shouldn't be there. This comes as a shock, since Venus is so "uninhabitable" by our Earthly definition of that word.

Life on Earth is very diverse, and we have only begun to understand it. Recently life was discovered in some thermal vents deep under the Earth, were it was thought impossible for anything to survive. About a year ago, a new type of insect was discovered in Central Park. Doesn't this just sort of prove that we humans have absolutely no authority over what is "habitable" on a galactic scale, which could prove to be infinitely more diverse? Isn't it at all possible that there are forms of life out there so different than what we know here, that it could fill our minds with awe, and freeze our souls with terror?

Lastly, I'd like to add that this is good news for future humans, if we ever decide to colonize other worlds.
