Just because the OS is free, doesnt mean the vendors who create software should give their programs away.
BRI think more of the point of linux is the stability and the ability to customize. You still have to buy software (the same as you do Office or Backup software now) but at least you dont get gouged 300 bucks for a version of XP Pro on the front end.... AND unlimited client connections!! :)

And I agree, my Logitech Z560's rock the house for tunes.

Now all I need is one of those 42" Plasma screens from Gateway to wall mount (for only $3000 bucks!!!) and I will be all set!!! :)

Why not just get and update antivirus? What MS is saying is they will protect your system against virus's (who knows, maybe they are hiring people to write the dang things in the first place to scare everyone) in exchange for complete control over your media and how you use the information on your PC.

No thanks, I will upgrade up to the last chip before DRM, and then keep what I got. I can just see all 28,000 MP3's on my system 'expiring' and getting locked out of them... *shudder*

Think of the choice, pay 100 US employee's an average of, say, 25 - 30K / year plus heath benifits, workmans comp, etc., or pay a foreign worker less than minimum, no health benefits, and not have the US laws to contend with?

We dont bother to get to know our doctors, we just rush in, expect instant healing, and want to be about our business again. Everyone is paranoid of getting close to anyone now, I would bet money that 1/2 the people dont even know their neighbors, let alone bother to get to know personally the person they expect to hold their life in their hands....
