    yea, you can play the CD on your boom-box in a public square, and hundreds of people can listen too it legally. Whats the diff from uploading crappy quality MP3's, or streaming it out and letting all your friends tune-into it?

    This looks almost exactly like any other window manager... only its not complete. I assume when it IS complete, it will look completely the same as another one? Isnt this what makes Linux so hard to work with some times, is that code has to be 'ported' to different window managers? Why dont these projects just work together and make one really good window manager instead of several 'pretty' good ones?

    I believe he wants to turn his PC into a dum-firewire raid box for his pa-pa-pa-Powerbook. As in: Firewire from his Powerbook to his Pc, so the Mac see's it as a storage device. I dont think there is a way to do this now.

    woohoo, all they do is pre-package a lot of device drivers into their cab files. This does not impress me. What would impress me is if they made is SMALLER, FASTER, and nicer looking. Anyone can add features and size at the same time, adding features and shrinking the code would be impressive.

    OK, so instead of 'who made it first', its going to be 'who files the patent first'?? Sounds like crap to me! So, someone invents something, and sells it in their home town. Someone else see's it, and rushes off to file a patent. Now the inventor is screwed, and how is this better?? What they need to do is educate the patent officers so they dont accept bull-crap patents on things like double clicking.

    We use the LTSP project with about 45 users network booting to a XFCE desktop right now. They browse the web, access our exchange 5.5 server using Thunderbird and have a LDAP directory with auto-name completion as they type email addresses. They access our 5250 iSeries system, and use OpenOffice for word / excel needs on a Windows NT shared drive. We love it, works great. Some more 'advanced' end users chafe some because they cant download their own screen savers or games, but frankly we LOVE that part of LTSP!

    The only reason I would donwload off BT network than off the TV studio web site: They will charge far too much for the video, cripple it somehow (DRM), or include commercials. Just charge a reasonable fee, dont screw over the file, and people will not have a problem paying for it.

    This is their first foray into the MMORPG world

    Diablo or Diablo II dont count?? Its not online persistant, but they still delt with a massive amount of players on their servers at any given time. I think they just didnt expect this game to be so popular, and now are scrambling to catch up. If they would just let us move out characters to a less populated server, I would be all set!
