  13. T-Rex diet on Ever Smell T-Rex's Breath? · · Score: 1

The T-Rex's breath might not smell like rotting meat. A closer observation of the teeth of the T-rex reveals that the teeth are not rooted very deeply in the skull and jaw. This means that either the T-rex was not a carnivore, or it only ate small animals it could fit in it's mouth, similar to the way a snake eats. To catch and kill a large animal would mean ripping it's own teeth out.

  15. Re:Propellor? on USS Enterprise Finally Flies · · Score: 5, Insightful

The thing is, the "REAL" Enterprise wouldn't really "fly". In many episodes when the Enterprise is getting too close to a planet's atmosphere there is a danger of crashing and burning in the atmosphere. The only reason it's "Flying" is because there is no gravity in space and no ground to fall on. So the idea that other star trek technologies might work because this works is silly because on Star Trek this wouldn't even work.

  16. This has promise on AgroWaste Oil Plant Starts Production · · Score: 1

To be honest I think this is one of the best alternatives I've seen in a while. Electric cars and hydrogen powered fuel cells are fine but there are millions of cars on the road today and millions of people aren't going to want to trade in their investments on another car, not only that, there are a great number of people, myself included, who enjoy a classic automobile and want to keep it running. What we need is a synthetic fuel that will burn in existing engines, carberated or fuel injected, with little or no modification. Even though the Internal Combustion engine is over 100 years old it's still what we depend on. Cars, Lawn Mowers, Chain saws, power generators, trains etc. all have gas burning engines. So what we really need is a Gasoline we can make without oil from the ground because not just the US economy, but the world economy can't handle a sudden shift in technology from gas burning engines to something electric or Hydrogen powered.

  23. I wouldn't have it on Your Future Car's Hood Will Be Welded Shut · · Score: 1

I wouldn't have it at all. First of all my car was made before 1980 and always will be. Unless it's a new truck. But this is almost insulting to the general public. The general public is getting dumber and dumber. Once upon a time most men could work on a car or do repair work around the house, now days he puts on a suit, goes to the office and pays someone else to do it because he doesn't know how. There was also a time when owning a computer ment you knew how to use it. Same problem. The cars get more complex and the manufacturers think that the average man who can work on a 74 chevy can't figure it out. Honestly I prefer the old chevy. It's made with more style and you can customize it any way you want. Welding the hood shut is just their way of taking away our choices. So no, I wouldn't buy a car with the hood welded shut. The same reason I build my own computer and load whatever OS I want on it. It's mine and it will be like I want it.
