Aren't Intel's prices almost twice as much as AMD's already for mostly equivalent processors? I take this to mean that Intel has decided that AMD is now a veritable threat and as such is no longer pricing like they are the only option. This will take a chunk out of AMD's sales for sure (even if they make similar price cuts) but I suspect that its main purpose will be that knowledgable comsumers will now consider Intel a viable option again.
As too paying close attention to the figures I would like to see the studies showing that People who downloaded the pirate version were *more* likely to go see the in-threater version.
Not to deny that but keep in mind that the people who go out of their way to download a pirated copy probably like that stuff already. There is a HUGE portion of the population who are not going to see AOTC of Spider-Man no matter what you do and that includes not downloading the pirate version. The people who download are much more likely to have paid for the ticket too see it anyways. I could come out with a study that says people who run on their own are much more likely to lead a healthy life style in other areas. While running does raise your energy to allow you to do other things people who lead a healthy lifestyle also go run as a part of that lifestyle.
In other words if I'm a person who would download the pirate version am I more likely to see the in-theater version? Yes.
If I download the pirate version am I more likely to see the in-theater version? Maybe, but we can't tell from a fact like the one you presented.
This is one case which we would want Microsoft to win. Microsoft didn't put up the photos themselves, the pictures were put up by users of the website presumably just like we post comments. Microsoft also took down the pictures upon request, the problem came when MS refused to sign an agreement that the pictures would never appear again. In addition
The company would have to pay a fine if similar photos emerge on the site in future, court spokesman Christian Grueneberg said.
From my understanding this would be roughly equivalent to/. having to pay up every time links to goatse.cx or any other sites of that nature were put up, I don't see how this is even enforcable on MS's part. This is a very disturbing preceden and I hope that there are some significant additional facts that the article is ignoring. Then again if you want to cost MS some $$ you know what to do!!
With apologies to Willian Shakespeare, or anyone with taste for that matter My Mozilla's Icons are nothing like the Explorer; China is far more red than her licence red; If button mean down, why then she come back up? If html be wires, broken wires jut one of her engine; I have seen webpages advertising other browsers; But no such promotions I see in her windows; And in some MS java there is more delight; Than in the broken applets that from my browser reeks; I love to browse her tabs, yet well I know That some Flash hath a far more pleasing look; I grant I never saw OS X though; My Mozilla, when she browsers, slumps through links; And yet, by Linux, I think my browser as rare As any I belied with false compare;
My friend told me that a few years ago he was looking for a domain name to register. After some poking around he discovered that microsoft.net was up for grabs. He then proceeded to go to his dad to ask for the $10-$15 (don't remember the exact amount) he needed to register the domain, needless to say his dad refused!!
I hope this guys rocket is a little more reliable than his web server! Than again, I don't think his rockets is going to have to take the battering that his website just did.
On the contrary that trend is infact lessening, as we learn more about medicine there is less snake oil and more curse that help people instead of harm them. The difference is now we have the experience, and a little more honesty which allows us to find out that that baby died of an incorrect dosage as opposed to 50 years ago when they might of attributed to some illness due to ignorance or just a plain cover up. I agree that training is crutial, moreso than the equipment, yet I still believe that overall the world health care is as good as it's been (I don't know about the US in particular but Canada is on a bit of a downhill now due to cutbacks).

However also keep in mind that the fact that there are 4 other parties to choose from there is a great deal of vote splitting that goes on between parties with similar platforms (i.e. Canadian Alliance and Conservatives). The only reason the liberals continuously get in is the right is divided and the left (all relative to the current political situation) is left entirely to the Liberals because the NDP is a very poorly run party with a worse provincial record (can anyone say BC). It's likely the fact that the Conservatives imploded after Mulroney that an extremist (depending on your view) party like the Bloc was able to form by picking up old Conservative votes in Quebec (this is pure speculation on my part). While the multi-party system does give us more choice it also effectivly limits that choice by placing the majority of the power in the hands of strong regional parties (Liberals, the Alliance, the Bloc) and punishing the parties with a more widespread base of support (NDP, PCs) and when it comes down to the choice of Prime Minister it really mimics the US in the fact that the decision is pretty much eft up to Ontario and Quebec and even then Quebec essentiall works outside by voting for the Bloc. Other than coalitions what other party has even formed the government than the Liberals or PCs? The only time it really is an issue is we get a slightly more multi dimensional debate and the other parties sometimes formed the opposition and got a chance to pressure the government. The fact is that unless the Canadian Alliance merges with the conservatives or implodes we will never get a different government (at least for a few decades), the other Parties are marginal, the PCs lose too many votes with them and the east will never accept a government that it percieves has western roots.
This is your second comment in 6 months, you're not exactly on a hot streak. He has done 85+ of his 95+ comments in 2 days, I don't care how long you've had an account THAT'S A LOT.
It's horribly offtopic but how is it that with your low UID you've posted only 95 comments total and 24 of those in the past day? Where does this sudden uncontrolable urge to post come from?!?
Unlike the crewed planes it may replace, the X-45 would be partially autonomous. Its pilot ? who may fly several planes at once ? would remain on the ground, out of harm?s way.
I wonder what is to stop someone from cracking the communications protocol and effectivly hijacking the plane. It seems like similar less advanced spy planes are already being used in Afghanistan but if these become standard I could very well see an enemy putting a significant amount of resources into cracking the encryption. Does anyone know enough about the system to know whether there is a significant risk of a 3rd party taking over one of these planes during a flight?
It has to do with the Catholic church's refusal to allow members to use birth control. This results in a perception of Catholics having lots of children due to lots of unprotected sex. I don't know how accurate that perception is (I don't pay much attention) but that is the joke.
Yeah punk, it's offtopic but what ya gonna do? Yeah moderators I'm talkin' to you!
If I understand correctly FreeBSD is widly considered to be by far the most secure system in the world (although I could be confusing is with OpenBSD). Either way I'm sure it's more secure than Linux or Windows and it would be far easier (and cheaper) to rework their own distro to use in house than build their own system.
I know that the division between reality and gaming can be confusing for many people but this is a new extreme. Doesn't anyone else think it would be a little disorienting to see horrifying monsters running around your campus? (not with standing fellow undergrads of course:)
The reason we want it so fail is because we fear it. We fear it is because if it becomes the dominant consol you KNOW Microsoft is going to use it as a lever to force themselves more and more into the home, that's why MS cancelled WebTV, this is a stronger candidate for getting MS into the living room. Also consider that so far Sony and Nintendo have played relatively nicely in the consol market (from a consumer rights point of view), just look at MS's track record and decide wether you want that company controlling the consol industry too.
Though being cold weakens your immune system and keeps you indoor facilitating the exchange of germs and making you more suceptible to cold and as such those chickens very well could catch a cold (or some other illness) if their lack of feathers meant they had to stay indoors and had weaker immune systems because they were busy trying to conserve body heat.

Regardless Bush Sr. did make that statement (dont known if it was during his presidency though, given the fact that many references refer to him just as George Bush I suspect it was at least before his son took office).
