Don't mind getting into a PhD, it is not only about money, with your orthography (or careless writting) you would have your teachers all over you the very first day.
Consider that your has had a computer nearby every day of his life, and has seen you using it for *many* hours a day. Don't forget there are people out there that check their emails once a month, don't have a computer at home (and don't care to have one).
Given the new trends on virtualization, OS's running within OS's, virtual servers, mainframe partitions, single processor concurrent contexts, multiple processors single contexts. etc. etc. etc. Does it really matter the inner architecture of the operating system? Maybe it was the case when there weren't a zillion layers above it. now, IMHO, i believe the architecture is irrelevant in terms of performance.
My 2 cent.
The problem is not the number of bacterias, but the kind of bacterias on each surface, some bacterias are human safe, just like the ones you find in yougurt. While somebody could probably dare to lick a keyboard, certainly wouldn't for a toilet. The types of bacterias in a toilet bowl are the ones that can kill you (Escherichia Coli, Campylobacter Jejuni, Salmonellae Typhi, Entamoeba Histolytica)
The aim of the study is to decode the emotions of Mona Lisa IN the painting, not the emotions she had while the painting was done. As it is not a photograph, rendering the paint would have taken _several_ sessions, with changing moods.
It's not that bad idea when you think of it like this: If it behaves like the stock market, prices of popular musi,c like britney spears, would skyrocket making it unaffordable, thus, killing the genre.

Money to buy it? If you have a 9yr older playing GTA bet he got it from a friend/peernetwork, not from your pocket.
What's new about this? Been doing that for years!, Where's the difference between this box and a linuxbox with samba/nfs/fstab properly configured?
I would think that a home NAS is a case where I can toss in any spare harddrive i find, plug it to the network and that's it. Not a whooooole PC.

What was your hardest myth to prove wrong from a technical stand point? And which was the hardest that turned out to be true?
Actually I find parent post rather funny
