Actually, they run on hydrogen - it's not just a clever name. It takes a significant amount of energy to produce that hydrogen. (Whether it be from water electrolysis, methanol, etc). So where does this energy come from to make the hydrogen?

Hold on... I may be out to lunch here but I think the two frequncies you are talking about are different things. The human ear can hear somewhere in the range from 0 Hz to 20 kHz generally (depends how good your hearing is). The 44.1kHz is a different thing, it is the sampling rate. i.e. 44100 16-bit samples per second.

This attitude is very interesting. What you consistently imply in your posts is that anything that doesn't have physical substance doesn't have real value.

I'm interested, what do you do for a living? (Actually I think you are a student, but what will you be doing?) Is it like a labourer or carpenter or something? Or is it something that involves using your brain to produce something intangible? (E.g. programmer, research, author) Do you consider what those professions do to have any value or should everything they produce be freely available?

This is an interesting thread. I'm honestly not trolling here, but if no one actually resues code doesn't it make it seem like all of Object Oriented program is a sham? If no one even takes full chunks and use them then they certainly don't inherit from classes that other people wrote. (I know there is value in OO stuff in that your project can be well structured, even if there is no reuse). But reuse is a huge motivator behind OO, encapsulation, all that sort of stuff. Why don't we all just write everything in C/assembly. (Well, I guess lots of open source/linux stuff does).

Why don't the engineers who fit the stuff into these designs get any credit? Sure he comes up with a neat good looking idea, but it takes a hell of a lot more than a good idea to make a sucessful product. Someone actually needs to implement it and make it possible. I really doubt it was easy to fit a full computer inside the iMac base w/o a fan. Kudos to the 'geers.
