Other than talking about the the titles of the chapters, where was the review of the content? Was this it: "Given that structure, the book touches all the bases and covers all the required topics well." ?
Just because it's IP (which it may not even be in this case, I think it's ATM) does not mean it's connected to the Internet. It's a bunch of private lines owned by the Telco.
So he will still have a lot of money left. Is that against the law? Should be a law passed that everyone with a net wealth over x must be required to give 99% of their wealth to charity?
And so what if he wants prestige?
I don't get it. The man has probably donated more money than anyone alive today and he still gets hacked to bits here for being a greedy bastard. I'm pretty amazed.
Hahah. That reminds me of this great site, this guy responds to Spam he receives. Your post reminded me of this reply. Read the whole thread, it's hilarious.
RFID tags are not cheap enough yet. Depends who you ask but a cursory search shows that 50 cents/tag right now is about what you can expect. That is too large a cut of a bill for it to be feasible. It may only be used for larger bills. Thi s article in the EETimes on the same issue has more detail.
Anyone roughly know what an RFID "detector" costs? I'm curious.
One more thing... A testiment [sic] to the department eh? They must be doing something right if they churned out James Gosling (creator of Java) and Theo de Raadt (leader of the aforementioned OpenBSD project).
1. Off topic, what's your point?
2. Ironic that U of C doesn't teach C? Good lord, that is stupid. C stands for Calgary. It's not a fast track technology place like Devry or something.
3. I assume you are talking about Computer Science. Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering students all take (at least) one C course.
4. You use C/C++ in many CPSC courses (CPSC411 and 457 come to mind)
5. The C language is extremely simple. Knowing how to use any language well (i.e. understanding computer science/software engineering principles) is far more important.

Innovation, would say Ballmer.
Don't worry, they copied it from every other language. Private members != security on any languge.
You do know what incumbent and behooved mean, don't you? Your post would seem to indicate otherwise. If necessary, please see dictionary.com or a similar reference for clarification. Understanding is key to effective argument.
Hmmm. Some would say that using an ad hominem argument is also an ineffective debating technique.
Speaking of the Simpsons and American politicians, what did you think of them singing the Canadian anthem at the end of this week's episode? "I guess war isn't really the answer... except to all of America's problems". I thought that the most cutting commentary I've ever heard on the Simpsons.
Righttt... I'm sure teens have far more money than older people with established careers. I thought it was the other way around, the teens and poor college kiddies steal all their music and then start buying it once they start making money in their career.
Actually this approach might be decent. There is nothing to make fun of the editors for, there is no snide remark that gets everyone riled up. One of the only reasonable actions upon seeing this posted is to actually *read the article*! gasp!
I'm starting to agree with that. The idea has sort of been bugging me that all this amazing technology including extensive CG was used to make the Matrix trilogy but the whole point is we are FIGHTING the machines? I think some sort of cooperation with the machines is more likely and mroe of a happy ending. More facts to support this:
The kiss with Persephone. She seemed to be testing his AI. And it was pretty good.
The discussion with the Oracle where she implies that there needs to be a balance between man and machine.
The discussion witht he councillor where he says we depend on the machines and they depend on us. I haven't seen any discussions on Slashdot on this but I thought it was very telling
In conclusion, I think Revolutions will show that there is some level of cooperation required between man and machine. It isn't really a war, they depend on each other.
You can get to them by copying chrome://communicator/content/pref/pref.xul into your address bar. (There is no default handler for chrome URLs so clicking it won't work)
Wow, this version feels fast. I've never felt that in all the Phoenix's or Mozilla's or even a nightly from a couple weeks ago, but this 0.6 screams!
What if the council members are the 17 + 8 (or whatever it was) that the last Neo picked? There was about the right number of them. Did anyone notice how many females?
Let me put it this way. Since the inception of Windows Update millions of third world children have become infected with terrible diseases that are killing them en-masse. Read that how you want, but its a fact.
I think there are features other than capacity that equate to more value for your money. Size is definitely one.

Look at his BIG EYES!

Man, the Java way to write to a disk is crazy. Wrappers upon wrappers upon wrappers.

+5, Scary. Well, I don't think Iraq actually threatened anyone with violence did they?

Theif: "Yes! I will sell this TI C2000 series DSP for $5 on the black market. MUhahahahah"

Hehe, now I feel stupid. Thanks. (Note: That was a bad UI design. There is no indication that icon is selectable)
Anyone having problems with the Google bar(Ctrl - K)? Mine seems to only search text on the current page. (Like type ahead fine with a /)

I thought there were only 4 out so far? (http://www.intothematrix.com/) Am I missing something?
Cum shot eh? I thought it was more of an orgasm. You could make some serious money with a recipe like that.
