Why are the collars on the wrist when they should be around your neck? Would be nice to have a tag on the collar with the name of the master and master's address.
If Schmidt was really a capitalist, there would be some nice dividend checks to the stockholders. Instead of maintaining the lifestyles of executives, the money would be best not going to tax havens. Stockholders should stand up and fire executives with real capitalists who put the money in the pockets of stock holders.
crazyjj,
I was thinking in an opposite direction, that if they paid someone in China, India, etc the same as they do in the US/West, we wouldn't outsource as much. If the global price of oil dictates the prices of goods in the US/West, why is everything so cheap in other countries? Perhaps, if China did not subsidize the price of oil, Apple products would not be so cheap (one example). Just something to think about to stir up conversation. It would be good for people not in the first world to report to their managers on Monday and ask for an 80% pay raise. Not sure why you want to lower my pay. No God Bless needed here, I am not living in medieval times.
If there is a global market on the price of oil, why is there not one for labor? Is it because global high tech customers see employees as worth less than western/US counterparts? I suspect no. People should all be treated equally and not be discriminated based on nationality.
There are many companies that offer training. I've been looking at SetFocus for years, but am worried about no pay during training and having to repay a loan.
I think that you are mistaken, or perhaps young. Microsoft had restrictive licensing agreements that stated you could not install other operating systems if you used MS-DOS / Windows preinstalled. This essentially killed IBMs OS/2. At the same time, other DOS vendors were pushed out. Some were even a multi-tasking version of DOS. I guess that is all history now. The main reason to the rise of Linux is that it was free. How can you compete with free? No one would want to pay extra for an operating system, such as IBM OS/2, when the computer was already installed with Microsoft MS-DOS/Windows or latter Windows 95. Consider yourself schooled.
When Microsoft had a majority in the PC market they behaved just as badly. With Apple have their lead in tablets, looks like they are now the new Microsoft.
Please buy hardware from a Linux friendly vendor. System76 is one I know of

What ever happened to BD-live? Seems like fewer and fewer Blu-rays have it anymore.

Yeah. Good show. Good times.
Why target 1 annoying human being when we have flys and mosquitos to kill instead?

I have had no fun with their software on Linux or Windows. Then again, Nvidia is not much better.
Subject says all. How the hell can rape be legitimate? This is not some abstract thing. It is a horrible.
I'm with you on this, brother.
I always liked XFCE. Wasn't this the default on Sarge?
lol!
Not if you work from home.
How you dress sets the tone in the office.
Isn't that what I said?

I'm more worried about subliminal (hidden) messages flashing on my monitor telling me what to buy, eat, etc.
It is all about having control over your intellectual property.
Water is heavy. It will no longer be near the poles as it is fluid. It will be more centered around the equator.
Imagine the trenches under the water expanding and kicking off earthquakes and tsunamis. Any idea what would happen to the Marianas Trench?
