too bad you'll never get to watch it. The media companies will declare it subversive and refuse to sell media to print it on, and your tivo will be directed not to record the static that is broadcast in its place because the jamming satellites will be irradiating the homes of the historians.
"I work and slave all day for ridiculously high wages just so I can slop you consumers with some drek that I got when I game some starving band some really crappy record deal and *YOU* have the nerve to complain that the plates are dirty and you dont wanna eat the slop?!?
I should have you all sent to the slaughterhouse and made into bacon. You ungrateful pigs!"
I recall reading something a long while ago that claim that the samba guys knew more about the workings of SMB than MS does.
I wouldn't find a statement surprising as when you deal with a *project* you can do as much or as little as you want, thus its members stay stable and pass info around. With a *product* you have employees who jockey for status, don't pass around info, come and go.
being a control freak doesn't always get you to the place you want to go. (Today?)
"How will we be able to read 1990's email messages in the year 2090?
Mebbe if we kept email as plain text we wouldnt have to ask this question. Im fond of mbox myself. However any sufficiently documented format will only leave us with storage media issues.
This sounds, plain and simple like the wrong tools for the job.
Generally speaking, I advocate the use of web-based apps for things like this. While you have to get it hammered into standards, once thats done you are going to not only pretty safe for cross platform use, but you have yourself insulated from the upgrade cycle. Userland apps to interface with a database seem to be increasingly a problem waiting to happen.
Besides I also cant imagine they are getting anything other than taken for a ride with Oracle, should be using Postgres instead, particularly if you have apache and *nix
Indeed spike does try to get rid of it. As I recall there isnt much development of the plot of ein being a data dog. Its unclear if hes normally smart, engineered smart or has some other kind of data storage.
"...one of the smartest breeds in the game, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi's is widely known for its intelligence. Even Hollywood acknowledges this fact, as seen in the recent anime series Cowboy Bebop, which featured Ein, an incredibly gifted Pembroke. Not only are Corgis intelligent, they have a vast amount of energy."
BeBop did *NOT* come out of hollywood. There is this place called Japan. They make a lot of animation these days. And often its better than the stuff out of hollywood.
if you arent gong to commercialize your own work, and you dont want anyone else to do it, then just burn the damned code. Everyone wants to have money in their pocket. If its not directly from product, its from associated services. i really wish ppl would stop pretending this doenst exist. You can still be altruistic and still find a way to 'put food on your family'
Well since companies like Linksys use linux in their devices, they still have to comply with the gpl. meaning if they keep using Linux they will be revealing all the back door code, or they'll have to stop using it or get sued.
Of course knowing our govt, the spec will be sooo poor and it'll get out and the internet will have huge security holes and hackers and spammers will get a hold if it.. and *foom* govt facilities zombies!
So can someone tell me which criteria of fascism we haven't had happen yet.

The feds decided that paypal wasnt a bank.
However this would probably be a good time to collect all the frozen donation account stories and press the congress to deal with this issue.
This, on its face seems to have some similarities to the Pets Warehouse case. For those that didn't settle, it seems that the plaintiff got knocked down rather badly.

Corgi's are supposed to be smart however.

Why do I get the Distinct feeling that Paramount will go and beam about 40000 lawyers to finland to stop the distribution of this?

Are they going to have enough money to pay off amazon or its patent lawyers for all the obvious business practice patents bezos has been granted?
ummm since you cant run itunes you arent effect by its drm. stop trolling loser.
Agreed. However that would mean that if its not BIOS based then those dev boxes are singularly useless in developing HW drivers.
