I'm not interested in less-than-lethal weapons.
If you are in my home with evil intent you will die or kill me.
    There is no middle ground.
I'm not taking a chance on having Mr. Intruder wake up while I'm calling the police.
I'm not interested in having him spend 18 months in prison and getting out only to pick up where he left off.
I don't believe in long sentences for drug possession or shoplifting.
I do believe that my home is my castle and that by invading it you have declared war on me and my family.

Maybe it had something to do with the fact that most people willing to participate in such idiocy don't have ancestors that preceded them in the traditions.
Maybe it's a way to let anyone participate. Maybe the children of genuine pagans / Druids / whatever realize that it's a bunch of garbage and won't join in the fun.
I see it as a way of allowing all to join since most won't.

I'd love to work out a way to make a server-side solution.
Have it sit on the mail server.
Whenever I designate something as spam run it through the hash and put the results into the corpus.
Each account would need its own filter, though.
The program could have a single instance that pulls in each user's profile as needed.

I'm actually (very slowly) working on some similar filter ideas on the website I run (www.inthewire.com), especially the 'personal mod points' concept.
The idea is that I accept any submission, and each user can highlight or exclude anyone based on past posting history with all sorts of minor adjustments.
Once I get all the relevant relationships worked out I'll try to make it a "big dial" sort of thing - choose a single setting to get a particular view of that world. All the complexities will be accessible so those interested can futz about, but the simple interface will be retained so that the grandmas can set it and forget it.
