Only half. While you're correct and it was an inacurate statement, the main point still holds that it's a bit 'pot calling the kettle black' when people get upset that a bunch of zealots will challenge their position.

  2. Interesting on Texas Vote May Challenge Teaching of Evolution · · Score: -1, Troll

So I guess evolution is above challenge and being questioned? Last I knew it was still a theory, not a law. Tell me I can't question anything I want, be it right or wrong, and you'll get a punch in the nose :)

The asteroid loses, the Earth is much more massive than it is. Of course we may lose as a side affect as well.

Honestly I take issue of the whole tiny particle thing. Tiny particles will be deflected by, or burned up in teh atmosphere pretty readily. Oh wow, nice pretty light show for a few hours. I can deal with that. The atmosphere is massive and can easily absorb the extra heat. Not to mention you have a heck of alot more of an affected area to absorb the strike. The whole "its solely about mass, which is essentially the same" is simplistic and used by people whow ant to appear smart to those who aren't. Real life is a bit more complex a system than HS Physics test questions.

Ummm...its perfectly not reasonable for a city to do that because it would cause accidents. But that is a different issue altogether. However, it is within their ability and doing so does not change the fact that if you don't try to stop when you could on a yellow light you get a ticket. The length of the yellow light in no way plays into the decision of whether or not you should stop.

You'd probably end up proving your own guilt. The law is to stop on yellow unless not safe to. The length of the yellow light does not change whether you should have tried to stop or not. All you'll be showing is that when the light turned yellow you decided to blow through it. Whether the light is 1 second or 20 is irrevelent. Tickets can be given for running yellow lights as well.

Or you'll find out that the extra bandwidth costs more than the business is bringing in and you will go out of business or have to raise prices beyong what some of your current customers want to pay. Going out on a limb here, but maybe the manager is basing his decision on actual numbers and increasing bandwidth is not possible on the current revenue stream. Or maybe not. Point is, we don't have enough information, and this guy probably doesn't either. Hell, do we even know if he's priced the scenario?

Go complain to someone out building a brick wall, or a concrete worker lugging around 80lb bags of quickrete about your poor back and your 'brick.' You're trying to compare your life of schlepping a laptop around in an airport to being a soldier, or any other job that actually requires physical labor. This is why the stimulus won't work. We don't have anyone willing to use a shovel anymore to do real work. But at least all the illegals will have a job building our roads and bridges. We're a country of man bag carrying sissies. Sickening.
