    It is permanant, the heat actually causes damage to the testicles. Not fun for the baby later on in his life. Fertility clinics must promote them however. $$$!

    DONATE THEM! There are hundreds of thousands of people who would drool over a 133 from 1995, just because they want to get their hands on a computer. Give them to a program like Alberta's computers for schools!

    I have to agree, with him because the truth is there are many students i know ( Good ones too) wjho are not blessed with a vault full of gold and who have gotten along fine for years with a pen and paper. I agree tht reccomending laptops is a better idea that mandating them. On a side note about power this is just one of the fine reasons to switch to renewable resources for power. The province of Quebec could easilly power itself with Hydro and still have many thousands of meggawats to sell to other power-hungry arears cheap. And by the way, disposable diapers cause infertility in males (its the heat). Go with cloth.

    Why must it always be an American icon, why can it not just be the perfect operating systerm, one that in my opinion is mature enough to take on M$ and kick windows out. Freebsd, cobined with KDE 3.1 on hardware even remotely resembling modern hardware will run like a dream, un-like windows, glitch, error, crash, and repeat.

    VisiCalc if it had done anything, was to spawn the era of software devlopment that we live in now. If visiCalc had not come along,( and nothing as popular) We would still be mail ordering 90% of our software.

    Why not sell a rediculously expensive OSX Desktop environment, (KDE,GNOME) for the linuxboxes. I'll bet there are hundreds if not thousands of geeks out there who want OSX, without the price tag of a brand new mac.

    Why dont radio stations fight back and beging to refuse to play songs from copy protected cds? If all radio stations stopped playing those cds would it not follow that record sales would drop?

    Wouldnt that give the RIAA a taste of their own medicine.

    When the hell are we gonna finally abandon these outdated ways of making a computer work. we could have performance coming out our ears if someone *cough intel* would finally abandon our current motherboad system and come up with somthing new. They are trting to replace bios already, but what about the actual freaking motherboard. PCI should be gone, just like 8 bit computing.

    Feel free to flame me, but i think the Motherboards days should be numbered.

    9/11, has it affected my day to day life?, Hmm, I have to think about that but i dont belive so. In fact I think that many governments are overreacting to the scale of this. look at rowanda, thousands of men women and children died each day, but did you see people saying "oh thats soo pre rowanda" no, you dont What you instead see are the americans (I'm canadian) standing around looking shocked simplybecause ONE person blew up their "we are invincible mentality" Why do we dont see in the papers daily pleas for help from all the starving children in africa? I really think that 9/11 has affected me and the other 98% of the world diddly squat.
