And if you are on windows checkout the new version of DesktopX by Stardock It provides an easy means to do the same kind of stuff in Windows AND unlike version 1.0.. it doesn't hijack your desktop and hog all the resources.
More interesting is the documentation of the apparent exponentially decaying attention span of slashdotters.
I think this is why Slashdot makes you wait 20 seconds before you can submit a comment. They figure this will weed out 80% of the responses as the people get bored of waiting for the 20 seconds to be up and they just leave.
This is also the country that bans people from working more than 35 hours a week. If you are caught working more than 35 hours a week you will be fined. Police go to parking lots and mark tires to make sure you're not there too long.
Yeah and then there is the whole Rose Lawfirm Records, the "No controlling legal authority", "I never had sex with that woman"
G. Gordon Liddy planned kidnappings of anti-war protestors in San Diego in '72.... so we can keep going on and on.. the point is, we have 1 political, not 2.. and the party and it is full of crooks.
Truth is, I know that I am converting every one I know to Mozilla and they LOVE it. In turn, they tell their friends and so on. Sure it's a small start but at some point Microsoft is going to realize that they shouldn't have been ignoring the browser.
Now see this is where your basic lack of understanding capitalism shows! If Company A sells an LCD for $500 and $400 of that is pure profit, Company B is going to come along and sell an LCD for $300, thus creating a price war. The product will keep going down in price until the point at which the profit/cost ratio actually matters. This is why Coca-Cola doesn't cost $8 a case. If they charged that much, people would just buy another brand.
Well with advancments like this, the price will go down. One day LCDs will be paper thin high resolution color that are like $20.
As to uses.. well thank god that I won't have to have all the pr0n mags laying around any more!;) Soon we'll just subscribe and it'll be accessed on our paper thin LCDs! w00t;)

How often do you sit in front of the TV and listen to MP3s?
Then how come the planes on 9/11 hit the trade towers and the pentagon? People were all calling their friends and loved ones on cell phones and yet the planes still flew right into the buildings. Sounds like no problems with navigation to me.
I use windows because I NEED photoshop. That's it. GIMP isn't going to work for me, sorry! Get over it! Now that I can run photoshop on Linux, who needs windows? Woo hoo!!!! i've been waiting for this for a long time.
Now here is the question.. I wonder if ObjectDock will run in Linux. I just love my OSX like dock but not enough to keep using windows when I don't have to!

LCD Price Fixing?

Not price fixing. How could that be? If it was possible to sell 19" LCDs for $250 and still turn a profit, some one would be doing so. I think we need to look at a deeper reason. The same companies making LCDs are the same companies that have large stocks of CRT TVs and monitors. If they sell an LCD for $100 what are they going to do with that 17" CRT that they have time and money invested in?
I don't know if that is indeed the reason or not.. but it's something to think about.
In capitalism any one can cut prices and drive down the cost of a product. If coke started selling 12packs for $2.00 what would pepsi do? They would have to compete to survive. Of course Coke can't do that cause they will lose money. I suspect the same is the case with LCDs.
Isn't this kinda like what the phone companies in the early days got slapped down for? Didn't the phone company used to make you use their phone in order to use their phone service?

True, but it is the only game i've played that after the 100th time playing it, is still rewarding when you get to the end.

Just another reason why socialism is bad.
My first thought was "how much of this TOLERANCE crap are we going to have to put up with?" ;)

What we need are the _[]x window buttons on the keyboard so that we can minimize, maxamize and close windows with 1 push of a keyboard button.
ahhh yes.. or so they think

I'm disappointed that Apple has shut down the creator of yZdock!
If you have 10 million leechers and no sharers then who the hell are the people leeching from?
The House of Represenatives has a re-election rate of some 96%.
God we need term limits!
Because with that logic why aren't you using Windows 2000

You only show your arrogance when you say that Java sucks ass. Java is VERY powerful on the server-side.

Actually a football field is 120 yards. The end zones are 10 yards deep... but who's counting? ;)
Where are my mod points when I need them!

Maybe "U.S." agrees but not "M-E"!

Have you ever seen what putting Diesel fuel in a gas car does? I am pretty sure that their warranty doesn't cover the printer if you refill the cart.

What is the point of having a closed source browser? I mean what are you going to gain?
