    There are no Crocodiles in Florida, except in zoo's or animal parks. There are plenty of Alligators however.

    When I first started going back in the late 70's they had the slides, mostly of small businesses in the local area plus the obligitory cinema snackbar advertisment, the we got trailers added to the mix, followed by full TV type advertisments, last time I went it was a mixture of all three - and depending on the rating of the film the TV type ads can be quite racy at times, but then out TV can be quite racey at times too :-)

    The lack of linux ports for most games does not make windows the best gaming OS, Quake3 runs better on linux for me than it did on windows, and I suspect that would be reflected with most games if they came with a native linux client.

    Have a look in /boot for a Config* file, or if you have the source that came with the stock Suse kernel have a look for a .config file, if you find one or the other copy it to /usr/src/linux-2.4.20 as .config and do "make oldconfig" instead of "make menuconfig".

    i386 support is still there, those i586/i686 distro's are just that, distro's.
    I've got an old (circa 1991) 486-DX25 machine here that I'm going to play around with as soon as I can dig up an old ISA NIC.

    Precident has been set, by stating that contacting SPEWS is not illegal the judge has protected all Aussies who fight spam from this type of legal harrasment, and yes, costs would have been awarded to the defendent, although probably not the full amount that he would have spent on his defense but an amount recognised by the court based on the "standard legal fee's".

    The censorship only applies to sites hosted in Australia. They can order an ISP/hosting company to remove a site once a complaint has been recieved and the ABA has investigated and determined that the content is illegal. But they don't want us to know what has been removed and why. And for the information of US /.'ers we don't have any 'freedom of speach' or 'bill of rights' laws down here.

    The censorship only applies to sites hosted in Australia, this is one of the things that make this law so laughable. As soon as a take down notice is served on a site they can move it to an overseas server and it's bussines as usual....except more money gets spent overseas instead of localy. The Hon (sic) Senator Alston (AKA) the worlds greatest luddite is the same man who said that broadband is only for childrean playing games and so he won't be doing anything to rein in the near monopoly enjoyed by our biggest teleco and it's outragous 3000mb monthly data transfer limit on cable/ADSL.

    Getting into bed with MS might be more like a sardine swimming around in front of a killer whale....we all know the history of a lot of small companies that have tried to play with MS. One thing we don't have to worry about is gnome being swallowed along with the sardine.
